Dr. Wynn taught me so much. She took the time to explain each surgery option and she even drew out visuals to help me understand. She had numbers and stats to back up her arguments. She can talk about ANYTHING. I felt like I was speaking with a mentor when I was in her office.

Before selecting a surgeon I researched every detail I could find on their backround. Here in northern Delaware you are pretty much limited to one BS group. Fortunately all of thrre of the surgeons in the practice have stellar reputations. However, after reviewind each of them I decided to select Dr. Wynn. I have not been disappointed. While some people may feel she is somewhat aloof (at least from some comments I've seen posted) I found her to be very informative and responsive. I was immediately impressed by her. She did not push me to select a particular procedure but asked me what surgery I was considering and the reasons for selecting that procedure. She informed me of the negatives (short history of outcomes) but validating my reasonning and supported my decision. At the time of surgery, I was not the least bit apprehensive and had complete confidence in the skill of my surgeon. The aftermath of the surgery has been better than I expected. Finally, her approach to the pre and post surgery "diet" is very liberal and has made my journey much more tolerable than otherwise.

Dr. Wynn is wonderful. She saved my life when I developed a strangulated hernia at my lap band site. I had the band put in at Temple hospital in Philadelphia, and 2 months later my bowels herniated through the port site. I went to Christiana Hospital in Delaware with excruciating pain, and by midnight I was in the OR with Dr. Wynn.(She just happen to be on call that night!!) She Removed the strangulated bowel & my lap band to prevent further infection. I was blessed that she was on call. After recovering from that unusual & unfortunate event, I decided to have the sleeve gastrectomy with Dr. Wynn. I trusted her completely. I had the procedure on 10/20/10 & she did a fantastic job. I had no complications & I am feeling great one month post-op. They say everything happens for a reason & I guess the reason for my hernia was so I could meet Dr. Wynn. Her office staff members are very organized, friendly, and helpful. My surgery was approved on the first attempt even though I was out-of-network with the group.
