Dr.Nighbert was very caring and helpful with anything i want to know before the surgery and after not more than 1 day home he called and checked on how i was doing the same day Karn called and checked on me later. His office staff is very best there is Karn,Donna,Amanda who go thay extra mile they call if they don,t here from to make sure thing going ok for you nothing there the best i love can,t find better people. They should know that Dr.Nighbert will allways be there for during and after surgery and so will his staff.Yes they have aftercare program. He coverd all risks of having the surgery and made a book of anything that could go wrong.the best of the best.there great

Dr. Nighbert and his complete bariatric team are just wonderful. Thereis no doubt in my mind that he is a competent and caring surgeon. But, I think what made this an exceptional experience is the team that he has assembled. I believe that he,along with Karen Hillenmyer, put agreat deal of thought and research into this surgery-recovery processand what it would mean for obese patients. From the front woman-superwoman, Donna Marshall whom will help you get the ball rolling to Amanda Nighbert,on staff nutritionist you know that you have their genuine support and encourgement from the very beginning. I am a very inquisitive person,as you should be in considering this surgery, Dr. N and his team will answer any and all questions that you may have, DON'T BE AFRAID TO ASK. The team is very serious about their committment ,as well as yours to aftercare. They will tell you that this is not going to be a picnic. They make it very clear that this is a tool, a tool that you will have to control. It is a lifetime job to maintain your new healthy state.I feel that they will always be there for me but I also know that they expect me to make aserious committment to my own wellbeing. I trusted my life with Dr. Nighbert and he took wonderful care of me. Maybe bacause i am a women, Ifelt more comfortable talking to both Donna and Karen. I feel as though I made new genuine friends. I would equqte Dr. Nighberts team with a good marriage, you may have a good man but he is even greater with a great woman behind him. In Dr. N case awhole team of great women, and oh yeah I can't forget Dr. Steiner his associate.

As a nurse I had seen him in the hospital before. He was very serious about the damages of co-morbidities. As I came to know him I realised he has a delightful sense of humor, but he is serious about obesity. His staff has become my second family, I think they know me better than my family. I recently spent my birthday with them speaking at a seminar! We have monthly meetings (support groups) You can call 24-7 and someone will get back to you fast to answer any questions that might come up. They are pairing us up (Bari-buddies) so those of us who have been there done thatcan help the new surgery patient. We visit them in the hospital, give them our phone number and encourage them to call.We work with a nutritionist before and after surgery. I'm still, after 6 months working with her.Dr. Nighbert did not pull any punches, he tells it like it is with All the dangers and possible outcome. Dr. Nighbert and his staff gave me a better quality of life, how could I not rate them the best in the country?

My first impression of Dr. Nighbert was one of an important man that knew what he was doing. He told me point blank about the surgery and the things that could go wrong. His staff are a WONDERFUL group of people that are there for a helping hand when and with whatever is needed. So far in my opinion I could not haved picked a better hospital or staff to care for me. I laughed at him the first time he asked me about having this surgery. I had gone to him to try to get him to remove three fatty tumors and he refused. I went home and told my father who is also overweight and is 84 years old. Then I asked him if he would have had surgery 40 years ago if he could have lived and worked as a thin man and he said YES. That made me start thinking. I did alot of research before deciding.
I was worried about Dr. Nighbert's experience - at the time he had done 12 surgeries. Dr Bolar had done 1700! BUT the seminars made me think that Dr. Nighbert's support group and follow-up was MUCH more thorough and nutrition conscious. His staff was still learning but very eager to please and get approval from insurance co. I was well aware of risks of surgery and would probably not have had it if my children had not been in college and able to take care of themselves - well a little bit anyway.
I had some trouble getting through on the phone lines.

Doctor Neighburt is great, he is very prefesional and will tell you straight up if he thinks that this is good for you. My impression has not changed of him. His office staff is friendly and funny very enjoyable. There is nothing that i disliked about him he has so far been great.Aftercare is extremly important to him, he has a staff of nutrists and physcholigist and anyone who can help right there. He adressed the risks of sugery very straight foward and made it clear that he would do his best but he was not perfect. He could work on being less agressive from my prespective but thats ok.

I think he is a wonderful physician.

The office staff are very supportive, caring and dedicated.

On a scale of 1-10... Dr. Nighbert is a 10!

His surgical competence and bedside manner are both great!

From start to present I found Dr, Nighbert a very warm and compassionate physician. This also goes for his staff. Not only were they extremely competent and skilled they also showed concern and care as fellow human beings. All risks of the surgery were fully explained. A nutrional seminar was held to help with the new food plan you will be on. The after care has been great wth calls home to check up on my recovery. To be completely honestI cannot think of anything critical to say. They wre great and I would recommend Dr. Nighbert and staff to anyone considering WLS.
