DR. NIGHBERT IS THE GREATEST DOCTOR WITH CARING ON HIS SIDE MY HUSBAND AND I ARE DOING THIS OPERATION AND HIS DATE WAS DEC. 22 AND DR. NIGHBERT DID A WONDERFUL JOB ON HIM HE HAD THE OPEN GASTRIC BYPASS WITH GALL STONES. I'M ALSO USING DR. NIGHBERT

Wasn't so much Nighbert that I thought was so impressive, but the close family atmosephere the entire office provides, the whole group of them really seem to be on your side.

Dr Nighbert was very nice during our personal meeting, though, after surgery he didn't say much to me at all, though, it may just be that I caught him on a bad day.

The aftercare program seems to be wonderful, he has promised to be a "for life" doctor with annual visits yearly for the rest of our lives.

I think his surgical competence is better than his bedside manner but neither are horrible.

Dr. Nighbert was very nice and funny. I was a little put out because my appointment was at 1:15 and I didn't see him until 3:00! But I know that's not his fault. He did seem a little stressed, overworked. I hope he will settle down for my surgery!! Ha! Ha! Anyway, he explained everything well and let me know what to expect. His staff also is really friendly and knowledgeable. They have a great support system that I hear of and want to see you back often the first year. Dr. Nighbert's surgical background really made my decision. I feel comfortable that he's doing my surgery.

I met with Dr. Nighbert and the other Dr.s that work with him at a seminar on 10/15/03. I was very impressed with him as well as the member of his staff. Melissa was very helpful and offered her insights as well as her personal story. I loved the fact that the entire staff are willing to answer any and all questions, and I can tell they are going to go above and beyond to help me in this journey. They want to make sure that anyone who they perform this surgey on is very well educated and know all of the pros and cons of the surgery. The went over all of the risks and explained that during the testing process, they would address all risks in more detail on a one on one basis. I sent my information back this morning over the fax, and Melissa faxed me back an appointment date for next week.... I'm so excited! I'll keep everyone posted, keep me in your prayers, I want this more than anything.

Well I haven't had surgery yet, but I have met with Dr. Nighbert and practically all of his staff. (Date Oct. 7, 2003)
My first impression of him was good, I thought he was very approachable, and he made me feel comfortable, and not gross like I have seen other people look at me.
The office staff is great, I know I called them a dozen times, to ask questions, check on my insurance approval, etc. They never hesitated to help me. They did not look at me different either (which is nice).
Future patients should know that this program is excellent, they have support group meeting every month and are all about your nutrition and care, it is like "they" want you to succeed as much as you want to. They give you excellent resources and don't let you go into the surgery blindly.
He told me all of the risks of surgery, in a pre-op meeting. And he said it was important for me to follow the guidelines in order to be a healthy patient as well.
I would rate him a 9 out of 10. We'll see what I think after surgery, later, lol..

My first impression of Dr. Nighbert was that he was very personable and approachable. He is very interested in what he is doing and appears to be thoroughly enjoy his work. He even stated that he is "Happiest when operating". This meant alot to me because I feel that he is very interested in the surgery and has not took a laid back hands off approach to his patient care. The office staff are very friendly, excited, and eager to help. Dr. Nighbert and his staff are very into education before surgery and follow up education, maintenance, and support. Dr. Nighbert's daughter was the nutritionist and she was very helpful and very patient in her teaching.

The staff is incredible!!

I like everything about him.

I believe he is truly interested in all of his patients.

Very strongly.

Yes, and he and the rest of the staff are very involved in the aftercare.

Throughly discussed it with my husband and me.

He is great. He has given me my life back.

Both great! Sorry I'm so positive, but it is how I truly feel about Dr. Nighbert and his program.

I believe that Dr. Nighbert and his staff did and are still working to improve the health and life style of all of their patients.

Dr. Neighbert is caring and professional. He explains both the pros and cons of the surgery. He does not hold back the facts to try and get new patients that are not ready to make the decision concerning surgery.
