If you are in the area this is the BEST Dr u can use for ur surgery. He is honest and caring. The staff in the office are great like a big family. OMG I love this doctor and the office and everyone You have nutritionist, and psychology in the same office also. WOW!! that its great.

DR. David von Rueden has a great reputation. Other doctors and nurses at other hosptals has said only good things about him. His staff is top of the line.He comes highly reccomended in Baltimore.Anyone in need for a weightloss Dr. should go to his seminar and you'll know your decision by the end of the night.He's honest in letting you know all the risks from WLS.So far I'm pleased with my decision and I know you will be too.

My first impression of Dr. VonRueden a quiet man but warm at heart. He really cares about his patients. I was very impressed with him when he called me and asked how I was feeling and how much was I draining. My drains were to come out on Monday and he said meet me on Saturday and I will removed the drain for you. His office staff is absolutly amazing what a great group of women they will do everything and anything to help you. I would recommend Dr. Von Rueden to anyone having this surgery.

When I first thaught about surgery it was with Bayview hospital. That's actually who I spoke with to find out how to get started. When I got the classes started and called they could not see me before Dec 2008. Funny huh I get surgery in 4 days.rnrn Then I started research not only for a great surgeon but one that would understand my strange life. That's when I first called Dr Von Rueden office when I explained to them about the insurance and the time frame they said lets get started. So we did everything happened so very fast and the most inpressive thing was they really are a GOD sent team. rn rn Then I went to the first group not only was I blown away that his wife was there and the team and Dr.V included. But the wonderful people that I met there. I'm a down to earth tell it like it is person and so were all the girls there. They make you feel like part of the family. Now that i'm getting close to surgery i'm so excited and scared. I'm setting my self to know I have to get out of surgery and get to group so that way I'm not thinking about the surgery but all the things in group I will miss If I don't go.

Dr Von Rueden is very quiet and polite. However he is very engaging when you get into a conversation with him.The one thing I like the most about him is that he gets involved with the support groups and exercise class he actually participates. It is great to see that he is not only telling you what to do but he is there with you this really made me glad and made me feel that I had chose the right surgeon. The staff has been great and has made my visits great and if there was anything I needed it was at my disposal. Dr. Von Rueden does stress and emphasize follow up care and support group meetings you must sign and acknowledgement form when you visit his office. I give him and his staff a 10. In addition, I want to thank my pcp Dr. Steve Miller for sending me to Dr Von Reuden and caring enough to be concerned about my care to select the best surgeon he knew.rnI am sorry I have not had a negative interaction with Dr. Von Reuden or his staff.

My first impression of Dr Von Rueden is that he is a doctor that really wants to help people have a better quality of life. While I don't look forward to getting all of the pre-op lab tests done, I do look forward to being done with the surgery so that I can start loosing weight.

He seemed very nice, and knowledgeable about the gastric bypass surgery.

My first impression of Dr. Von Reuden, was that I was not quite sure about him, but after the seminar he had won me over. He and his staff are very proffessional, understanding and helpful. He is very layed back in a caring kinda way. He always takes the time to explain and answer all questions no matter how technical or simple they were. The risk and complications were talked about in detail, and he didnt sugar coat anything. In fact when I had my 2nd appt with him and had gained 2 1/2 lbs, he was all over me, and reminded me of the decision that I had made and that if we are to move forward this cant happen again. THAT I LIKE... HE IS A NO B.S DOC! I feel absolutely comfortable with him. The wonderful staff... Sloan, Cathy, Rose and all of the other ladies are just wonderful. They care and you can feel it in your soul.... rnUPDATE: Well, did I tell you that Dr. V is awesome... HE IS...After my surgery the appointments that followed are just fantastic... and he gets in your a-- if your not doing what you should be doing.rnAll in all..... HE IS FANTASTIC!! Couldnt ask for a better doctor.rn rn

I had my first appointment with Dr. Von Reuden and his team. They were all extremely friendly and very organized. I stayed in one room and they each came in one at a time. they were all very encouraging!
