Dr. Syn is very thorough in explaining every detail and answering all questions during his consultation. He made me feel very comfortable and after hearing him speak for just a few minutes I was very confident in his abilities as a surgeon. His staff was very friendly and helpful. He carefully explained why obesity is such an epidemic. He lined out the different types of surgeries in a manner easily understandable. And explained his after care program. He is the most detailed person I've ever come across! He doesn't over look anything! The hospital staff spoke very highly of him when I was having my pre-op testing done. He even has a standing order for special hospital beds for all of his patients. He holds a monthly support group for his patients, and personally attends them! I only wish he would put them online so his out of town patients could attend. I'm so glad I had him do my surgery.

Dr. Syn performed my BPDS on March 15, 2013. I am 5'9" and lost 115 lbs. in 5 mos. And, I'm supposed to lose about another 100 in the next 5-6 mos. I feel GRRREAT! He performed a 4-in-1 surgery: resected 2/3 of my stomach, removed ulcer, by-passed my small intestine (with exception of about 50 cm. channel); removed my gallbladder and repaired my hiatal hernia. He is a fantastic Dr. with miraculous abilities, that's all I can say! His office personnel are also very friendly and helpful in getting your questions answered and communicating with your insurance.

I have been suffering from obesity since I was young I am 41 years old now
I am 181 cm high and my weight is 185 Kilogram
I am very confused about which surgery should I consider the best for me gastric bypass or sleeve??
Please advice

Dr Syn is very concientious and caring and will work with you on every aspect of your surgery. I am glad I have had this doctor to do my surgery. He is very professional and has a great bedside manner spending time to answer your questions. Office staff is great and he has a great nutritionist who all take care and give you structure with your diet and care.

Dr Syn and his staff has been outstanding! My first impression of him is that he is extremely confident and professional.

If I have this surgery, I want Dr. Syn to do it. I have heard SUCH good things about him!

My first impression of Dr Syn, was... I like this guy. He is very straight foward and IS DANG GOOD AT HIS PROFESSION. After my surgery my impression is still the same. His office staff is VERY VERY VERY kind and helpful. Especially his dietician..she is wonderful. She has formated a complete diet for each stage of you weight loss and that is exactly what I needed!! If anyone is trying to decided on a surgeon I STRONGLY RECOMMEND Dr Syn. He is very open about the risks of surgery, the aftercare program, and is on call for his patients 24/7. I would rate Dr Syn a 8. The only thing that could benefit the patient better is more time with the follow ups. I waited almost an hr and a half and only saw him for no more than 5 mins. No time to get a complete exam. It was very rushed. Maybe next time will be better.
