I read so many nice things about Dr. Rohrer on this web
site I decided to make my appointment with him. I made the
right decision. He was very helpful and answered all of my questions
and concerns. In my research I have found that he has done over 50
of these surgeries a year. I feel very confident with Dr. Rohrer.

I was so pleased to find a surgeon in Montana. I was afraid I would have to go out of state. I'm grateful to the site for such helpful and organized information! What a trememdous resource!!
Just made initial contact with Dr. Rohrer's office. Have packet of info coming in the mail.

My husband and I met with Dr. Rohrer 10/18. I liked him very much. He explained everything really well (open RNY), and answered all our questions thoroughly. We never felt rushed or pressured to make a decision. I am totally comfortable with him. He seems very kind and compassionate. I would recommend him to anyone.

My first impression of Dr. Rohrer was very positive. What a caring individual. He explained the surgery in detail, and explained what it would mean for me for the rest of my life. He didn't hold back for anything...told me the truth right up front.

Although at first Lisa, his nurse, was very friendly, as my phone calls to the office became more and more frequent, I saw the friendliness disappear and more of a "Too busy to deal with you at this time" attitude appear.

I highly recommend Dr. Rohrer for anyone who is considering having this surgery. He is wonderful. He told me that we would become very good friends as he will see me in his office every month for at leat the first year.

There are no structured aftercare programs here in Great Falls, although I am going to see what we need to do to get something started.

Dr. Rohrer not only has the surgical competence necessary for this surgery, but he has wonderful bedside manner and a great sense of humor.

9-12-00. Had my initial consult with Dr. Roher. He was absolutely the best to talk to. He recognized my research and spoke to me straight forward, explaining risks, possible complications, method of the procedure, what to expect going in and coming out of surgery, etc. He answered a list of questions I had for him and treated me with a great deal of respect. He must have asked me ten times if I had any more questions. I would strongly recommend Dr. Roher. I, like others read the posting about Lisa and all I can say is sorry about your experience...she treated me so well and was more friendly than anyone in any office has ever been. Since I am out of town, I have pestered her by phone 6-7 times already...she has always been great! I am taking everyones notes to heart though and plan to quiz Dr. Roher a little more about the post-op aftercare before surgery in October.

I just had my first consult with Dr. Rohrer
yesterday, and found him to be a very nice guy. He explained everything regarding the surgery and post op care in detail, and did not hesitate at any questions my husband and I asked. One thing that I was a little worried about was his assistant Lisa, because I had read something that wassnt very nice about her on this web site (somebody posted)...but she was extremely nice to me and professional. I think it is sad that I wasted my time being worried about that...she was super. Anyway, I am looking forward to getting the surgery approved...hopefully it will go fast.
I havn't had enough experience with Dr. Rohrer yet to feel like I can give him a rating...although I would give the first appt. a 10. I will update when I know more.

Dr. Rohrer is an excellent surgeon and has a great bedside manner. He is very willing to discuss any questions or issues you have. I would definitely recommend him to anyone having this surgery. The only down side is there is not much follow-up care or support groups which makes this site particularly handy. A+

My first impression of Dr. Rohrer is that he was gentle.
I still feel that way and thank him for having the skill that gave me the tool to lose this weight.
His office staff is very friendly.
Dr. Rohrer points out that the aftercare and follow up appointments are very important and I fully agree with him.

My surgeon will (hopefully) be Dr. Rohrer in Great Falls, Montana. Originally I was going to see Dr. Mark Vierra at Stanford but was told that I couldn't even see him for over 6 months. But I'm spending the summer with my parents in Montana and this is probably the only summer I'll have completely free so it's an ideal time to have the surgery...

So I went to see Dr. Rohrer on June 22nd, he was very personable and informative. He seems to know what he's doing, and I liked the description of things that he does that are different than some of the others I've talked to.

My surgeon was Dr. David Rohrer. He is just fabulous. He is very concerned about his patients. His office staff is as equally helpful. I haven't found anything I didn't like about him. If anyone is considering this surgery they should look him up. He really emphasizes the aftercare. He takes his time moving you up on what foods you can have. His after care is very structured and you are expected to follow it very closely. Overall he is one great surgeon .
