Lisa H Other Medical Tech

Lisa has called Great Falls, Montana home since 1989. Lisa graduated from Montana State University - College of Technology with her associate’s degree in medical assisting in 1995 and helped Dr. Rohrer open his surgical practice in Great Falls in September 1995. She became a certified medical assistant in 1996 after passing the national examination through the American Association of Medical Assistants and has maintained her certification through mandated CEUs governed by the association. She then pursued her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Great Falls in Healthcare Administration and graduated in 2004.

Lisa has received specialized training from Allergan in Lap-Band system patient management program in March 2008. This training program allows her to manage our lap-band patients by doing the adjustments and fills and counseling patient’s to aid in their success. She also has passed a series of examinations and given the designation of a Lap-Band Total Care Champion in June 2008. This designation recognizes expertise in the Lap-Band Total Care Program, which sets the standard for best practices in patient care. She is also very knowledgeable with insurance authorizations for weight loss surgery and has a high success rate in obtaining authorizations for our patients.

Lisa has been a member of the American Association of Medical Assistants since 1994. She also is a member of the American Society for Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery. She currently sits on the board for the Medical Assistant program at the Montana State University - College of Technology.

She enjoys all the outdoors has to offer including skiing, whitewater rafting and hiking along with her family and three dogs.
