I haven't spoken to Dr. Provost just yet, but I am scheduled to see him on May 3, 2001. Get this!!!! My original appointment wasn't until November 30. Can you believe it... I can not wait.. I am so excited. Just this Monday, his office was scheduling new appointments for January 2002. Thank you, God!!!!! I have heard so many wonderful things about this man.. Please keep me in your prayers....

I saw Dr. Provost yesterday and he is SOOOO cool. I had over 37 questions and guess what he answered every "LAST ONE".... Although I was a little bummed after talking to David Morris (Insurance Claims for Provost's office) but overall I was psyched about the whole visit. We covered everything. And for those of you that are wondering if he is associated with the Assocation of Bariatic Surgery -- He is working on getting that done. Also Lois Hill (Nurse) she is so informative. The whole office was SOOOOOO warm.
So far my rating for Dr. Provost is a 10.
I have had to updated my surgeon because Dr. Barzune was not in network so I have had to adjust and have since elected to go with Dr. Provost. I would like to have the procedure done LAP but from the looks of the people I have e-mailed it looks like I am too big. However, I will let him tell me that. Wish me luck.
11/17 Luck and Blessed is the case I am approved for LAP procedure. Now I am waiting for and exact date. Dr. Provost is sincere and an excellent person to ask any question about the surgery.
2/14 Approved and surgery date is 3/19 or 3/12 I have to lose some weight before the surgery or Dr. Provost will not perform the procedure. So wish me luck.
5/2 Dr Provost is an excellent Dr. and he is interested in YOU doing the right thing. I guess I was looking for a little babying, but he is about him doing his job and teaching me how to do mine. He is a GREAT doctor for encouraging long-term loss.
Dr. Provost is a very informed, experienced and warm doctor. I felt an immediate rapport with him. Lois, his nurse, has been most helpful, as well as David, the insurance person. I have sent several e-mails to both David and Lois, and they have responded very quickly to my questions and concerns. I have been most impressed. The only negative thing I have experienced so far is the wait time, first of all for the first consultation (4 months) and then the 2.5 month wait for the surgery after the insurance approval.
I first visited Dr. Provost on my b-day in 2000. That was my gift to myself. I was impressed from the minute I walked int he door. I am a nurse and had already researched the procedure and the signs and symptoms of complications. I already had my mind made up that this is what I wanted. He has been a rock for me through the procedure as well as post op. I would reccomend him to anyone. His support group meetings each month are a benefit. I had a LAP procedure on Friday 9-22-00, went home the next day and was at Wal-mart the next day and returned to work ont he following Monday. I have had NO complications. My biggest problem as been a mental problem. It is hard seeing myself different even though the clothes sizes have changed and people talk about how good I look. I have learned to set obtainanle goals for myself. Some days it is a struggle.
Dr. Provost was wonderful, he was sure to answer any questions that I had, and was always available with any problems or concerns. Dr. Provost is very concerned about aftercare, even though I am only just starting aftercare. He tells you the risks, but also emphasizes the benefits. Overall, I would recommend Dr. Provost for your surgery, if you choose to follow through.
