He seemed to be nice. He went over all of the risks and benefits with me. His nurse was very nice and helpful. I really liked the chairs in his office, the were oversized. I had read on the website that others did not like his bedside manner. I had no problems with him whatsoever. I would rate him a 10. I would definitely recommend him to other patients. I received a binder with everything to expect after the surgery. I have to bring the binder with me to all of my appts.

Dr Dyer is very direct, but he cares about his patients very much. The office staff is wonderful and the staff on the 3rd Floor of the women's hospital are the most wonderful people I have ever meet. Centennial has a great after care program. I am only 5 days post-op, so I have not taken advantage yet of all of their offers.

MY FIRST IMPRESSION OF DR. DYER WAS HE IS POFESSIONAL, SPEAKS WELL, AND HE CARES.

a very caring and down to earth doctor.we talked about the risks of the surgery but with all my medical problems i was better off taking the risk of surgery.the risk is no different than having heart surgery.i feel the same about him now even after meeting him.the staff is loyal and caring also.knowing i was new at all of this they helped me through it all.the waiting time it took to see him was a little longer than normal.the after care program is easy to understand.the follow-up visits i think are two-fold. to see how your doing and to see if your losing weight like you should.he goes through the whole program of the surgery and risks while your in there and my family went too to meet him.no problems.

Dr. Dyer's exams are fast but efficient. He makes sure you know all the possible consequences of the surgery (several times). He seems extremely competent and knowledgeable about surgery procedures. He doesn't scold or accuse, but has a very easy-going attitude. He is a Christian and prays for his surgery patients, I've been told, which gave me a lot of comfort. His staff is wonderful and will do whatever you need done, though they're very busy and don't have much time to talk. I would like a little more explanations of my post-op pains and incisions than Dr. Dyer gives. I always leave feeling like I don't know enough about what's happening to me. He does have a structured aftercare program: 1 week, 2 weeks, 6 weeks, etc. His office also provides free a monthly support group meeting run by his office staff and a monthly group meeting with psychologists, where you can vent and ask questions.

Dr. Dyer is an incredibly competent surgeon--I never once doubted that he is good at what he does. He does seem to completely lack people skills when you first meet him. However, when he came by my room at the hospital, he was warmer to me--my mom and I both commented that we really liked him. He was wonderful at my follow-up appt, and I've just really grown to respect and appreciate him. I've been back to the office four or five times since my surgery, and every time, the staff (especially Joann, his nurse - I think that's her name)has been warm and accessible. A couple of those visits were impromptu--I called that morning and they squeezed me in later that day. They've remembered me by face the last couple times. They also really emphasize structured aftercare where they tell you exactly what, when, and how you should eat, which is very important to me because my mom has had a couple doctors who sewed her up and let her go figure it out herself, to her detriment. I also appreciated the order in which Dyer's office has you do things--attend seminar, fax info, wait for them to send letter and receive approval, go to consult and set date, get testing done, and then have surgery.

I met him the first time at the Seminar he seemed very pleasant and he even had a sense of humor... When I met him at the consult I was so excited and nervous... He was very informative... He was friendly and eager to answer any questions and still had his sense of humor... I really liked everyone I met at his office the nurse that was in there with me her name is Robin Renee just like mine except I spell mine Robin Renea.. I thought that was really kewl... He really stressed the aftercare and the risks of the surgery.. He answered my questions where I could understand what he was talking about... I think that when you have the total package for surgical competence and bedside manner you will be very blessed with the best care ... I didnt really find anything that I didnt like... The waiting room was great those nice comfortable oversized chairs... was great....

I was very pleased with Dr Dyer. Glad I choose him. Did a wonderful job. Even has his home number on his cards. He does seem a little to professional, if that makes since, but he has taken very good care of me. If I had it all over to do I would still pick him.
