Dr. Dan is SO kind and so compassionate. I am so thankful for him (and his entire team) for making my process pre & post op as smooth as possible. I’m a month post op and I’ve healed up beautifully, thin scars and no issues. I can not say enough good things about him. He is truly a blessing to me and I’m so grateful that I chose him as my surgeon!

Basically, I'm just doing a bit of an update. On September 1st, it will be 7 years since my surgery with Dr. Dan, and even though I haven't been to my follow ups due to not having health insurance, I am still doing great. A lot has happened in my life both good and bad, but I'm still doing well. In the last 3 years I have noticed a bit of a weight re-gain of almost 20 pounds, but I know this is normal and I am getting back on track now to get back down to my goal. I still take my vitamins every day and getting in my 100 grams of protein a day. Soon I will have health insurance through my new job and the first thing I am doing is making an appointment to see Dr. Dan..... My weight loss journey is still going forward. Life is truly beautiful and such a blessing and still today, almost 7 years later....I still have Dr. Dan to thank for saving me. He is truly amazing!

Dr. Adrian Dan and the Summa Bariatric staff are awesome! They all beam these great, genuine smiles because they clearly enjoy what they do. Dr. Dan has this confidence level about him that makes it hard not to believe him when he tells you everything will be OK. But he was right, it was OK. Thursday, September 3, 2015 was my life-change day. Yesterday was my first post-op visit with Dr. Dan, and he said I was doing great, and past the period of major complications. Woohoo! I got the drain out, and that was a weird relief, as well as stitches removed. And the flowers in the hospital room after surgery were lovely, and a nice touch. Thank you. Thank you, Dr. Dan, for being who you are, so you can help those like me, who need you.

he is a very good doctor, I was 279 when I started in april, one week before surgery I weighed 257and now i'm 225.1- two months after surgery ,i feel great my goal is 140 pounds I had sugar, high blood pressure and cholesterol my family doctor took me off all of my pills on Friday only two month after surgery i'm a happy lady,,thanks dr. dan for giving me back my life and me feeling good about myself again,,

I had my RU N Y surgery done Feb of 2014 and have lost 119 lbs. since then and no longer have to take insulin. Dr. Dan and the team at Summa Bariatric Care Center are professional highly skilled individuals and very caring. I received top notch care and compassion and learned all I need to know to be successful going forward in my journey to better health and weight loss success. Dr. Dan is a highly trained and skilled surgeon and the nurses gave me optimal care post surgery. I even got flowers from Dr. Dan after surgery. I would highly recommend Dr. Dan and the Bariatric Center at Summa Health System to anyone contemplating Gastric Bypass . I had a great experience!

I've really been glad to have Dr. Dan. He has a nice and comforting bedside manner and he did my two surgeries without any problems. I like the office staff very much as well. Competent and caring.

My first impression of Dr. Dan was that he was nice and so was the staff at Akron City Bariatric Center. Dr. Dan's surgical competence and bedside manner are both great. A structured aftercare plan is very much emphasized...it is the key to success!!! I would recommend Dr. Dan and the Akron City Bariatric Team.

Summa's Bariatric services are excellent. They are very thorough in assuring you are prepared for surgery. The staff is highly professional, and given the amount of logistics involved in managing bariatric customers, incredibly organized. They are also friendly, and go out of their way to meet your requests. All of the facilities throughout the Summa network are clean, and professional. I had a Rny scheduled 4 years ago with another doctor in Cleveland and because I have a blood clotting issues and I have to take a blood thinner as well as not wanting a blood transfusion for religious reasons,the doctor called me 1 week before my surgery because he was nervous about operating on me.I canceled the surgery. If the doctor in Cleveland was nervous about the surgery I did not want him to operate on me and neither did my husband. Last April 2013 I decided I needed to do something so I made a appointment with Dr Dan. My husband and I went to see Dr Dan and after telling him about the blood clotting issues and not wanting a blood transfusion if needed, he was still very confident he could perform the Rny surgery. Dr Dan answered all questions and was very nice. After talking to me I felt confident and not worried. 2/13/2014 I had my Rny done by Dr Dan. I would recommend him he is surgically competent and has a great beside manner.I even got flowers the next day while in the hospital from Dr Dan.What doctor does that? The hospital nurses where right there for me and made sure I was always comfortable. I was in very little pain because they made sure I always got my medicine on time.Thank you Dr Dan

Dr. Dan, Is an amazing Doctor.The day my surgery I was very nervous and I weighed 285 pounds. My surgery went a little long because I had my gallbladder removed as well. I woke up a little bit that night, but for the most part they wanted me sleep through the night. Dr. Dan gave me back so much of my life, I have a seven-year-old daughter that I can do things with instead of watching. I am almost at my fifth month out of surgery and I have lost significant amount of weight. Prior to my liquid diet away 300 pounds, which was two weeks before surgery and I am now at 225 pounds. I would recommend Dr. Dan to anyone. I have even recommended Dr. Dan, who does hernia repairs as well to my mother and she will be having surgery in February. Dr. Dan is a very kind and caring doctor and helps his patients a great deal through their journey. You definitely do not feel like you're alone and that they follow you through your recovery and follow you through your weight loss.
