Adrian Dan Bariatric Surgeon MD, FACS, FASMBS

Dr. Adrian Dan, Bariatric Surgeon Adrian Dan, MD, FACS, FASMBS  is a bariatric surgeon and the Director of the Summa Health Bariatric Care Center. He earned his medical degree from the Northeast Ohio Medical University. He completed a residency in general surgery at Michigan State University, where he also was Chief Resident and an Instructor of Surgery. Dr. Dan moved on to complete his fellowship in advanced laparoscopic and bariatric surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation where he trained with Dr. Philip Schauer and Dr. Bipan Chand. In addition, he completed a fellowship in Academic Medical Education and Research Methods. Dr. Dan is the Executive Director and Founder of the National Surgery Review which prepares candidates for the examinations administered by the American Board of Surgery (ABS). He also serves as the Director for the General Surgery Residency program at Western Reserve Hospital. He has a special interest in clinical research in minimally invasive and metabolic surgery and has authored numerous textbook chapters, peer-reviewed articles and review manuals. He is a member of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. Dr. Dan is fluent in English, French, German, and Romanian.
