My first impression of Dr. B was positive, his "program" and his candor were VERY impressive. I came with many questions, none of which I had to ask because he volunteered the information readily during his presentation. He was particularly forthcoming about risks/complications and did not shy away from describing in detail this information. This is in stark contrast to some of the other surgeons I "interviewed" in preparation for making this decision (avoided questions, elusive answers, or just simply refusing to answer). Not so with Dr. B! The staff, in particular Freda, were also extremely helpful and friendly, which made my nervousness disappear very quickly. Overall, an excellent office, excellent credentials, and an excellent first impression.

Dr. Babineau is a VERY capable surgeon and his office staff are the best...I did not have even one complication with my surgery. I would recommend him highly.

Dr Babineau performed my revision from VBG to RNY. He's very personalable and will assist you in any way. His staff was helpful with all visits and the approval process was quick for my revision.

My first impressions of Dr. B came from the many patient comments I had read. It was extremely encouraging to see that there weren't many things people didn't like. After actually meeting him, I am happy to announce that he was EXACTLY as everyone described him. He is sort of quiet (which in complete contrast to me!), EXTREMELY knowledgeable, very informative and personable. He was extremely nice. And...I love the cowboy boots! I will be back to update on him and surgery soon!

Dr. Babineau was very informative about the procedure and the risks involved.

I like him very much so far.

Not enough time to evaluate the 'over time' issue

What I know of them right now, I like.

Dr. Babineau is a little young but has lots of experience with this surgery.

Be prepared to have pysch and nutrition consults.

Much emphasis on aftercare.

Made no bones about surgery risks.

I don't know enough yet to make a rating.

I'm more concerned with surgical competence. Both, however, would be what I'd really like.

He met with a group of us and then individually. He was very straight forward and full of information (good and risky) I loved him. I have my surgery in 3 weeks. I'll let you know more then. The Office staff is wonderful. Freda helped a great deal. Very structured aftercare. Support group.

Have met with Dr. B again and just 2 days until surgery. He is really wonderful. His office staff has been wonderful. Freda answered all the questions she could and then Dr. B. answered the rest. Any person trying to pick a pysician in our area should really consider Dr. B. He is the best!

After Surgery: Everyone I had spoken to prior to surgery were really impressed with Dr. B. I was too, but after surgery my pain was never gotten in the bearable stage. I think he was afraid to give me too much medicine, but I had a great deal of pain. The nurses on the floor seemed to be "afraid" to call him for new orders. I tried to tell them that he couldn't hurt them. I just wish there could have been better pain management. I am sure with patients that have no complications the pain is not so bad. One thing that puzzled me was when the nurse told me that he has identical orders for every patient. They said he finds that it works and doesn't want to change it. I would think that each patient should be treated as an individual. Maybe this was just a bad experience for me. I hope it doesn't ever happen to anyone else. One other thing..immediately after surgery when he went to talk with my family, he told them everything went as planned..no surprises....and then the next day he tells me that he nicked my spleen and I had blood loss and a spleenectomy. I can't figure out why he would tell them all went as expected when it didn't. Go figure!!!
