UT Health Tyler Bariatric Center Bariatric Center
I attended my seminar and initial consultation today with the surgeon I plan on using. I found him to be very informative and extremely personable. I feel very confident using him as my surgeon for this procedure, he seems to be very experienced in his field and I really like the fact that his entire practice is devoted to bariatric surgery. I look forward to the process and the ultimate success of this journey with this surgeon!
He was very nice, very knowledgible, didn't beat around the bush. I chose him because he was recommended by so many people I knew. He recommends going to support meetings, but doesn't push it. His staff is very helpful. I would rate him as excellent.
Dr. Babineau presented himself in a very professional manner. He appeared genuinely concerned regarding my current health concerns. Lisa is Terrific! She his 1st assist. She goes over things after Dr. Babineau does to make sure you understand and to answer any other questions. Freida knows what she is doing. Super efficient! Dr. Babineau has a well designed aftercare program and you actually are tested over his program to make sure you are ready and know the program. His website has lots of information about his office and bariatric surgery. So far he's an ACE. He has picked an excellent support staff. I would love to join his team! Awesome group of people1
Dr. Babineau seems to be a very competent physician. I was told about him from a former patient. I read up on his credentials and found out he had completed over 800 surgeries and had a very good complication rate. The first doctor I had chosen had only completed about 150 surgeries. He was very upfront and honest about complications and risks. I think I have made a good choice.
So far I've just been to see him for my initial doctor's visit. Two things I noticed up front,he doesn't sugarcoat facts and he's not afraid to smile like some doctors.I also found he will try to help you with medicare. His staff is very nice and met me with smiles and offered help in any way they could.I'm waiting to get psycological evaluation done , will let you know more later.
Dr. Babineau was absolutely awesome! He explained everything about the procedure and expectations in laymans terms that were easy to understand. I admire him for what he is doing and has done for me and several of my freinds. WE are now active, healthier, and much happier women than before! His office and personnell were polite and very helpful, and I would definitely tell anyone considering this surgery to talk to him first!Dr. B puts great emphasis on aftercare and healthy lifestyle. What I didn't know before surgery was that those expectations would be so easy to follow through with. you feel so great that you want to walk, eat right, and exercise, and believe me it had been 15 years since I could walk more than a block without stroking out!I fully understoood the risks of surgery and i also understood that my quality of life and life expectancy was crummy if i didn't do something drastic to try to live.I think that Dr. B was overall fabulous in surgical competence, and bedside manner! He is a very kind doctor who understands what we are all going through. The only negative thing i could say is that it hurt like heck the first 4 days after surgery, but overall it has been a positive and fabulous experience for me.
My first impression of Dr. Babineau was that he was a very serious and professional man. This impression was from the initial seminar that I attended along with a few other people in his front office. My second visit was on March 8, 2005 and I really felt good to have this surgeon as my doctor and had nothing but good thoughts of him during my visit. Freda and Lisa both were very helpful and friendly and encouraging to me. I feel really good about giving my life to this surgeon and know he will take care of me on March 18, 2005! Thank you, Dr. Babineau! I am very confident with you as my surgeon.
Dr. Babineau is a really cool doctor who did an excellent job on my surgery! He even has a sense of humor. The first time I met him, I really like him and the fact he likes to play arcade video games his favorite machine is Defender. The staff is nice and they answered my questions and helped me get the insurance information together so I could get the surgery! Patients should know that this man has the best hand in doing video games and is very skilled in doing surgery as well! Just be sure you dont take a jar of pickles or olives with you to the surgery room. I dont know if Dr Babineau likes them or not!(Side joke) I would rate him 100%, and if I had to do it all over again, I would go to him! I believe that surgical competence as well as a great comical bedside manner will help you heal faster! Anything Negative to say? Well I hope he doesnt pick his nose during surgery. Ha Ha!!
DR. BABINEAU IS GREAT SURGERON AND HAS A GREAT STAFF. I WOULD TELL ANYONE CONSIDERING THIS SURGERY WITH DR. BABINEAU TO DO IT . HE AND STAFF ARE VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND ANSWER ALL OF YOU QUESTION.
When I first met Dr. Babineau I surprised by his age (37). I have never been as impressed with a doctor as I was with Dr. Babineau. He is very knowledgeable, answers any and all questions to your complete satisfaction and that of your family as well. He also addresses in detail the risks of surgery and the percentage of time the risks occur. His staff is equally impressive and nice, oh so nice. There was nothing I did not like about Dr. Babineau. He is more quiet that I am accustomed to but I did choose him to be a chatty friend. I chose him for his knowledge and surgical experience and believe me I chose well, very well. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone. I will be driving to Tyler several times over the next two years for follow up visits. Dr. Babineau does offer a support group. I haven't decided yet if I will attend or choose a local support group. But, I do definitely think you need some sort of support group. He is the best as far as I am concerned. He was well worth the 2 1/2 hour drive from Fort Worth.
