very nice man. I went to him a year ago and he would not do the operation on me as I had problems with my lower intestines. I had major part of promblem fixed and now he said he will do banding on me if I get TRI CARE PRIME to approve the surgery.
dr allen is awesome. he is very professional yet very open upfront and compassionate. im so glad my first surgeon ditched me even tho i have to wait longer. sometimes it is true that good things come to those who wait. his staff is excellent also
Dr Allen is great and really knows what he is doing with the lap band. He beleives in them. This is very important when getting a lap band.
I met DR Allen on 4-5-02 I was very impressed with him he was ver nice anwsered all my questions their was nothing i did not like about Dr Allenyes i would let other ppl now about Dr Allen
Dr. Allen is a very nice and laid back person, and anyone who knows him will tell you that he is a great surgeon.
Dr. Allen is also a person who faithfully keeps up with his patients.
Dr. Allen explained the risks of the surgery and the different lifestyle you will live.
I highly recommend Dr. Allen to anyone considering WLS, and I feel very fortunate to have him as my surgeon.

Dr Allen Seems to be a very nice person. He informed me of all the risks to each surgery he performs. Watched videos the first visit. Will write more after surgery. I had Lap Rny on Jan 14th and I was blessed with no complications and a very skilled surgeon, Dr Allen did such a good job, when I woke up in the recovery room I kept asking them if I even had the surgery, I was up and walking the next day and could not believe how good I felt, the third day my hubby had to tell me to slow down. Needless to say once again,I think Dr Allen is a very skilled surgeon and I am so glad i chose him to do my surgery.
My first impression of Dr. Allen was that he was a very caring individual who was confident in what he was doing. He was very informative explaing both benefits and risk of the surgeries he offers. He does go over your information with you and give ample opportunity for you to ask any questions you would like. I had a few questions I had thought of after my visit and emailed him and received a response the same day..actually received several responses..this is rare for a doctor to answer his own email so timely..very impressive. The staff is very helpful, be prepared to practice patience however they are extremly busy and may take as long as a week to return calls.
All in all I am very happy with my choice and things have moved along pretty quickly.
I would rate him very high!
