I first went to a seminar concerning Lap-Band and Gbypass procedures. I was quite overwhelmed at first. One I sat there and took in everything the Dr. Yu said about the procedures, I felt like I was going to finally make a decision to do something for myself and begin living...really living for the first time in my life. rnDr. Yu was great. I had my Lap-Band procedure just this past Friday (6/29/07)...and I am already beginning to feel very different from the \"old\" me. Thank you, Dr. Yu.

I have met with Dr. Scarborough once & I really liked him & got a good vibe from him at that appointment. His office staff has not been quite as nice & helpful. I have encountered a few people that were less than friendly & it too some determination on my part to get through to Connie to schedule surgery but I finally was able to. They are not good at all about calling you back-so be forewarned & be persistant. rnrn06/05/07rnI had my 6 month checkup with Dr. Scarborough & I do like him, but he is really almost TOO quiet. He doesnt ask much or say much unless you ask him a question. I felt totally comfortable with him & he did a fantastic job but I cant figure him out-I thought he might be shy but now I think he just doenst have much personality. Not that I woudlnt recommend him-I totally would-just dont expect any warm, fuzzy feelings from him! lol!

Dr. Yu is great !!!! He's a very soft spoken and polite man, takes the time to answer any questions that I have and also performed my EGD. I don't have to wait long in his office at all and I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for a surgeon in the Houston area.

Dr. Scarborough was very kind, genuinely interested in my questions, softspoken, and pretty funny for a serious guy. At my last appt. before surgery, he gave me a list of questions about the surgery and made sure I knew all the answers - he truly wants you to know everything possible about the surgery you're going to have. He even made me draw a picture of the procedure. :)

We first saw Dr. Yu at the informational seminar. He is very knowledgeable and personable. I decided that night that I wanted him to perform my lap band surgery. Our first meeting Dr. Yu was interested in everything that my husband and myself had to say. He answered every question and was not in a hurry to get to the next patient. Dr. Yu has a great bedside manner and joked and kidded with us as we went through all of my pre-op assessment and instructions. The office staff is great and the after care is really awesome, too. Thank you Dr. Yu and staff forgiving my life back!

I had some complications with respect to my breathing during the first 24 hours following my surgery. The care I received from Dr. Scarborough and his staff during these difficult hours could be rated only as top notch. They were concerned and THERE, even though it was the middle of the night. I don't remember much of this experience, but my husband was there and was extremely impressed. Due to his parents, he has quite a bit of experience with hospitals and surgeons and he says he has never seen anything like the care I received, even in intensive care. I would rate Dr. Scarborough a 10 of 10.

Love Dr. Scarborough, he is so thorough and kind. His Right hand woman-Connie givs you her pager number and you can ask any question you need to which is nice because I live so far away from the Dr. My impreesion of the office is still good just love the people over there. They have you go to a siminar before you have surgery and it is very informative. I was made to feel very special. Just had my sugery yesterday and I amdoing great.

Dr. Scarborough is a quiet man. My cousin also used him and recommended him to me. She told me he was quiet before my first consultation. He is a really great surgeon and doctor, and I was very confident in his abilities to do my surgery. I still feel that way 8 months later! His office staff is great, always very helpful and friendly. Hermann Memorial has a great support group, and I really enjoy going to the meetings. Overall I would rate him a 10 out of 10. He seems really nice and is a wonderful surgeon.

Dr. Sherman Yu is a great person with a great bedside manner. Calm and soft spoken and he has a great smile. Great office staff too. Very pleased.
