My first impression of Dr. Dunshee was that he was incredibly nice, knowledgeable and made me feel completely comfortable. He took so much time to inform me of so many different things, that he literally answered all of my questions that I had written down, before I had asked them. More to come later..
I was very impressed with Dr Bernetein~ She doesnt waste your time or hers~ I already knew what I wanted and just got straight to the point~ she listened and said well... let's get this started~ she said she would get a letter off to my insurance company that day and I was on my way~ I dont think there was anything I didnt like about her~
The office staff were all wonderful~ from the receptionist out front to the nurse who weighed me~ I also interacted with another lady who gave me information about therapists in the local area that might be able to help me with fulfilling the therapist part of the process~ I was seen the within one week and all I had to do was wait on my insurance~
I would rate her and her office staff at a 10~! They all know what they are doing and know what you need~ yet they have the compassion and courtesy and exhibit the professionalism you deserve~
I personally think that her surgical competence and beside manner are wonderful~ I would (and have) recommend her to anyone within earshot~!
My first impression of her was this lady knows her job! My impression over time i cannot answer i have met her only once(n/a). The office staff is kind and offical. So far there is no least(n/a). Future patients should know the only thing i could say at this time is that she is very nice and you feel very comfortable with her.
Emphasizeing aftercare STRONGLY emphasized.
structured aftercare(n/a). The risk of surgery was addressed straight forward but i felt very good sounds crazy doesnt it i really cant explain it she was just very good. i would rate her so far as a 7. The last question (n/a).
I was very happy with Dr. Bernstein. They have a very good WLS program. On my first visit she told me the risks of having the surgery. My husband and I had attended two
group meetings before the appointment. At one of the meetings the doctors were there. They showed a slide presentation and answered questions after the presentation. This was very helpful. They also have cordinator that you can call anytime with questions. Her name is Brenda at Tall Grass Surgical. She is very good about returning calls if she is not available when you call.
Dr. Bernsten is very proactive and professional. The office staff is wonderful and helped expedite my surgery. I had special circumstances because of insurance and they graciously accomodated me. Dr. Bernsten is very thorough in explaining the risks of surgery but you must also take responsibility and attend meetings and read the required material. The patient is ultimately the one who must live with this. DO YOUR RESEARCH! Her surgicial technique is very good. I had a Lap Rouen-Y with no complications so far. (Surgery was 6/24/03) I would rate her high. One draw back would be after patient visits in the hospital. She was brief and to the point not a whole lot of discussion. But, at the time I wasn't really in the talkative mood. Also, I'm more into the professional thing however some patients may not bel. I have a follow up visit soon.
She is the best!! When I first met her at the support group meeting she took the time to answer all the groups questions without ever making us feel uncomfortable.
The staff at her clinic are so nice. The wait in the waiting room could have been a bit shorter, but I also understand why.
I would recommend their practice to anyone without hesitation. She explained everthing in detail and made sure that all my questions were answered. From what I have seen and heard from her other patients she does a great job at follow-up care. My fears have been laid to rest to say the least!
I feel very confidant in her abilities.
If I had to rate her on a scale of 1-10, I would have to give a 10 all the way!
Dr. Bernstein was great. Before you can even meet with her she requires you to go to a support group meeting. They explain everything there, plus get to meet some of her patients. Once you do meet for your consultation she makes sure you understand all the pros and cons that can happen. She also has a book that she would like for you to read. She really wants you to be prepared for surgery and after surgery. Her nurse (Maxine) sent the paper work to the insurance company. Maxine was great and never got irritated at my calls and questions. Everyone was very supportive.
