Dr Lord came across as confident in what he was talking about from the very start. He is very friendly and he really takes an interest in his patients welfare.rnrnHis office staff is friendly, caring, and helpful though they can be hard to get hold of sometimes.rnrnDr. Lord has an excellent team working with him including His partner Dr. Friedman who is very thorough and patient in answering any and all questions, but so is Dr. Lord. rnrnPatients under their care have very few complications, if any, and the only one I have had is trouble sleeping which is getting better daily.rnrnAftercare is strongly emphasized and they have a support group which meets monthly.rnrnDr. Lord addressed the possible risk in depth .rnrnIMO Dr. Lord is an excellent surgeon as well as having a great personality and bedside manner. Dr. Friedman is great too!rnrnI highly recommend Dr. Lord and his staff to anyone considering the surgery without reservation.

When I first met Dr Lord I thought he was very professional, intelligent and informative. As time passed you see much more of his personality he is kind and has a sense of humor. rnI truly believe that I was blessed to get the best surgeon to take care of me. He was on top of everything about my care and always very informative with information that I needed to know. He is a fellowship trained bariatric surgeon which was very important to me. It was also important that he did the surgery laproscopically. rnThe day after I came home from the hospital I had a couple of really rough days. So rough that I felt I needed to call him on the second day. He was so kind told me exactly what I could do for my problems. He did not rush me through the conversation as if he didn't have time for this. rnThankfully I have had my surgery and it is over but if I had to have WLS hands down it would be Dr. Lord.rnHe and his staff do such a wonderful in the realm of preop information and postop instruction and there is an unlimited amount of support group that is available as long as you want to go.

I just wanted to take the time to tell everyone that this has been the greatest experience of my life. I had so much confidence in Dr. Lord that everything went just fine. My first impression of Dr Lord was that he does not play at all I thought he was very mean and self centered like he was god or something this was from different comments people were making. That change after I went to his seminar he is cool as cool can be what really made me feel really good was in the hallways at the hospital he always says hello and that made me feel very comfortable that he remember seeing me at his seminar. The office visit was great he took time to explain everything to me and my husband and he also asked my husband did he own a gun because when he finish i will be on fire and my husband will have to fight off all the men he also explained the risk factors and the life style changes that would have to be made. I would refer all friends to Dr Lord any day

I have attened a seminar and had my physician referral completed. I'm just waiting for the Initial Consultation.

Although Dr. Lord doesn't accept our insurance, we attended one of his seminars. We were VERY immpressed! He knows what he's doing & really helped answer a lot of our questions. My frist impression of Dr lord was that he knew just what he was talking about and took care of his patients.His Staff is great nothing but good to say about all of them.That he checks you from head to toe before you go to sugery he knows ahead if anything is wrong with you.His after care is great.He was to the point to let you know the ricks of bypass suregery.I would rate him a 10. both surgical competence and bed side manners are great.If I didn't give him a 10 i would not let him do my surgery. Update.......Dr Lord is great,the nicest,down to earth Dr i have met.I would recommend him to anyone.

Merry Christmas to Dr Lord and his staff! I had bypass surgery on 17 May 06 and have lost 125lbs! :) This is one of the Merriest and Happiest Holidays for me in a long time thanks to Dr. Lord and staff! Anyone considering this surgery should attend Dr Lord's seminar and get it done -- you won't regret it.
