My first impressions of Dr. Woods was that he was a very caring man. He is sensitive to a persons needs and feelings. Takes the time to really talk with you.rnI felt very comfortable with Dr. Woods he explained everything in detail and told us about all the risks. I feel I have picked a fine surgeon and I am comfortable.rnAs far as the office staff goes, I think they need to be more thorough and on top of things. It took three phone calls and a fax to Dr. Woods personally regarding the bill's I was recieving from my blood work before it was streightened out. And they lost my EKG results twice! Also, I don't think they have enought contact with a patient to let them know what's going on. I have been waiting since Feb. 2006 for a surgery date because of Medicare and Im the one calling them all the time.

From Detroit, Michigan I Did a 1 1/2 year research on Dr. Micheal H. Wood, with over 25 years of surgical experience, and a extensive back ground in weight loss surgery. I than met Dr. Wood he is great.rnthe staff was very friendly, kind concerned and most of all ( professional).rnhe has done over (4) thousands gastric surgeries, and he is the co-founder of the Sapala-Wood Micropouch. All of his surgeries are performed at Harper University Hospital.which is a Center of Excellence, they also have a whole floor dedicated to GBS.rnhe emphaizes very much on aftercare its not just a tool to help lose weight but turning your health around living longer.Changing your life style is a must your mental thinking plays a major part, the best being able to get off some medications if not (all) completely.rnthey are both great. I give Dr. Wood and Dr. Taylor 110. there is nothing negative I can say or have found. go to MyABMI.COM search the two surgeons out.

Dr. Wood is the most compassionate surgeon that I have encountered. He has a genuine heart and great sincere love for his patients. He is extremely knowledgable and has an abundance of wisdom. His partner, Dr. Taylor is also great. Both of these doctors are very down to earth and sincere at heart. I would reccomend both os these doctors to anyone who is interested in having WLS!! rnrnThank You Jesus for the knowledge and wisdom that you gave to Drs' Wood and Taylor, for it is because of you that I have a whole new life. Lord you said that some of us have many talents, and I thank you for the talents that you've given to both of these gentlemen.

I think Dr. Wood is a wonderful Dr. He is very softspoken, and funny. He tells you exactly what is going to happen, and what will be done with you. He is a pioneer in WLS and I am very happy with my decision to have him as my doctor. I went to another place that he was affiliated with earlier, and left because he was no longer there. He did not want to be associated with a place that did not have the morals that he possesed and would do the surgery on anyone. That set my mind at ease that her cares about his patients very much. If I know of anyone that was interested in this surgery, I would surely recommend Dr. Wood.

The following statements are just my personal impressions of my own personal experience and I am making no statements about what other people may experience. I had a consult with Dr. Wood on 6/6/07. This doctor is very impressive. He has a long confirmed history of success. As nervous as I was, I went in with a page full of questions that I figured I would need to ask when we met one on one (the consultation was done in a group). Dr. Wood answered 99% of the questions on my list in his presentation. He is very confident and comforting (seems to the be the type to kick you in the butt while holding your hand at the same time). I really liked how he took the time to explain everything...the good, bad and ugly. He does have an aftercare program that was stressed throughout the consult. I will write more after the surgery but for now Dr. Wood is a 10 out of 10!

I've worked at the hospital where he currently practices for many years. I've heard comments from co-workers that he's the best. My first impression of him, at a semiar, was that he knew what he was doing. I was impressed by the description of the pre and post op period and the things that they did to prevent the most common surigical complications. Both my pulmonologist and my gyn highly recommend him. During the consult session he stated that the success of the surgery depends on how closely you follow the rules. How much of an aftercare program his center offers at the moment is questionable. I do have some pretty high ideals of what an aftercare program should entail.rnrnHere's an interesting interview with my surgeon.rnhttp://www.dptv.org/ondemand/abj/abjvod.shtmlrn

When I first met Dr Webber, I thought he has a great since of humor, and was young looking and cute. My impression of him has not changed one bit. I could not have asked for a better surgeon. I was very blessed to have him take care of me. His whole team is great and they take time for you and care about your needs. He never rushed me, and made sure I was happy .
