he is a great caring surgeon.

My husband and I both had WLS on July 9, 2003. Dr Inabnet was a wonderful and compassionate Doctor. He is very professonal, and we highly reccomend him. Robyn and Rodelyn have always been helpful and our nutritionist Meredith is wonderful. Dr. Inabnet explained all the risks prior to surgery, but the benefits outweighed the risks for us. By no means is this surgery an easy way out. We have learned to overcome bad habits, eat slowly, and seperate food and liquid. The best thing we ever did!!

I loved Dr. Inabnet the moment I met him. I was sitting in his office, 23 years old, 100 pounds overweight, and scared out of my mind. He was soft spoken, giving me all of my options. From start to finish, all of Dr. Inabnet's staff was warm and caring. Helping me through every step. It's been 2 years since I had the surgery. I have lost over 100 pounds and my life is completely changed.

My meeting with Dr. Inabnet went better than I thought. He took his time with me and answered all of my questions. He went over the different surgical procedures with my and agreed that the procedure I picked would best suit me. The good Dr. went over the aftercare with me and stressed follow ups are important. Overall I am extremely happy with the decision I have made so far. Rodelyn, which is Dr. Inabnet's assistant is a doll. She is very helpful and a wealth of information. I love that office!!!!

I had my surgery on December 16th and my surgeon is amazing. He was there by my bedside everyday to make sure I was doing fine. His bedside manner is excellent and he took the time to explain to my family what my needs were going to be once I got home. I love him, love him, love him. He is the best surgeon.

Detail-Oriented; Willing to answer fully all questions; responded promptly to emails; kind; good sense of humor; caring. Impression has been validated over time. Office staff is (pun intended) largely extremely attentive and helpful, particularly Jennifer Nalle (coordinator) and Amy Fleischman (nutritionist). They have each gone the extra mile to address my myriad of questions and concerns and even were able to push up the surgery date.

Did not like the malpractice liability disclosures relating to risks of surgery. I have been alarmed unnecessarily (from my point of view). Unfortunately, this is a by-product of a very litigious society and, presumably, is similar with all surgeons of this nature.

Still do not understand most surgeons' recommendation of Roux-en-Y over lap band considering the lack of mortality risk, the minimal recovery time, the adjustability, and the reversibility. Herron is no exception here but acceded to my wishes regarding same.

Overall rating awaits after-care and follow-up but I really lilke that which I have experienced so far. I made my choice of surgeons based upon competence and personal attention. This is not a mill. I have received impressive care so far.

Now, almost 10 weeks post-op, my initial impressions have been confirmed. He is a warm, caring, super-competent surgeon who (when he is not called to an emergency -- as all good MD's are) has always taken all the time that I required of him. I tend to be a little acerbic and he even has a sense of humor. Most importantly for me, he makes the patient feel that he/she is the only patient that he is seeing. He has been patient (no pun intended) beyond patient. If there is anything to be critical of, it is his time management -- the by-product of his caring for each patient. He is often very delayed in seeing his scheduled appointments. Again, though, his competetence is beyond question. What sets him apart from others is the personal attention (along with that of his staff -- notably, Jennifer, Amy and Marcel). On balance, he gets an "A" and has my undying (again, pun intended) respect, admiration, and thanks.

I liked Dr. Inabnet from the first meeting. I already had a positive feeling from his staff. Rodelyn, his assistant was friendly and helpful. The whole experience at the Center was a positive one. And I found him to be friendly and informative. He took all the time I needed to go over the different options and aftercare..No question was too small or unimportant. In the hospital he was wonderful, to my suprise he spent more time with me than I expected. The New York Presbyterian Center for Obesity Surgery has a very structured program for both prop and post op care. At the preop seminars they discuss all surgical options and the risks involved with each. The staff at the center are always available to answer any and all questions. I haven't had to wait long for a response yet.

He was fantastic. Very down to earth, easy to talk to, not judgemental or critical but not brash or too quick with easy, empty promises either. He was emphatic about pointing out that WLS was simply a tool that he could give me to make weight loss doable, but that it would still be up to me to make it work. And I still feel that way about him and his team.

I met Dr. Herron at Mt. Sinai on 1/17/02. What a lovely man. He is very kind and caring and seems to be very competent. Answered ALL my questions, drew pictures of wls, rny and agreed that is the surgery for me.He has done about 300 surgeries and hopes to do mine lap! Rate him and his staff, especially Irene, at a 10 so far!It is over two years since my surgery. I have lost 114 pounds and have started losing again. Dr. Herron is still my hero!

Dr Inabnet was the best surgeon I interviewed. I had interviewed 3 ....and rejected them. I am very picky about who I will trust with my life ...and with good reason.
His office staff when he was at Mt. Sinai was very hectic...but efficient.
He was very honest and untheatened by my blunt questioning...( How many patients have died whom you have operated on...are you board certified...... where did you study.....and so on and so forth)
He addressed the risks of surgery with me carefully and honestly. He also addressed te risks of remaining morbidly obese.
I will be seeing him at New York Presbetyrian next month. I will be going with my husband, who also met him last year at my last yearly visit, and he was quite impressed with him.
Dr Inabnet will I am sure, address my needs thoroughly. He always addresses my needs medically, psychologically and nutritionally. He will I am sure do so now more than ever now that I am expecting at the end of October.
