Midwest Bariatric Solutions Bariatric Center

My first impression of Dr. Georgen was he was very nice and very caring.
My impression of him is even better now.
The office staff has always been very nice and helpful to me.
The thing I like least about him is that he is usually late, but I guess I expect that with such a good surgeon.
The after care program they have sounds wonderful, and him and his staff totally urge you to go through it.
He anwsered all of my questions and concerns and would rate him as the best doctor I have ever had. ( I have had a lot.) Both his surgical skills and bedside manner are awesome!!

I am having a great experience with Dr. Wasco as well as Theda Clark Medical Center! Very knowledgable people and personable!!

From the very first time I met Dr. Wasco I knew he was the one I wanted to go with. He was very personable and listened to what I had to say and ask. He asnswered my questions to the fullest. I was very pleased with him. I would recommend him to anyone that asks.
His office staff is very personable also. You almost feel like family when you go in there. Very comfortable. They care for you as a person. Not just a number or other patient.
Aftercare is very important for success. Without their help I think you will have problems. Plus you need to keep updated with all your labs and other medical care is.
I feel they have a very nice aftercare program.
Dr. Wasco and Dr. Georgen both went over the risks of surgery. But I seriously felt I had nothing to lose at the time of my surgery except for the weight.
In the 3 years that I researched for the surgery and all the surgeons I did meet, I can't say enough about Dr. Wasco or Dr. Georgen. I feel they are the best. And I come from Green Bay to see them on a quarterly basis right now.
I feel both are great.
The only thing that I wish they had and I know they do but they charge on certain times and that is a bariatric support group. If I am misinformed I apoligize but it would be nice to see a good support system free of charge.

I really like him, he knows what he is doing. I have 100% faith in him.

My first impression was that he seemed shy, but sincere.
Immediately, and then supported over time, I realized that he truly wanted to see me succeed and become healthier.
He and his office staff are sincere people who don't just give the impression of caring - they truly do.
There wasn't anything I didn't like about Dr. Wasco. One of the best things to know is that if you have a question, write it down so that you don't forget to ask him when you see him.
Aftercare is crucial! Be prepared, going in, to make the committment. You success and health depend on it! This is not an easy fix! You will face obstacles that, with out the support, can be devastating.
The ThedaClark after care program is very structured to help you succeed. Thank God! Take full advantage of it.
The risks of surgery were outlined in a required seminar, in a brochure, a binder/guide and discussed with a professional- up to and including the day of the surgery. Overall I would rate Dr. Wasco and his staff a resounding 10. They were always there for me!
Dr. Wasco is pleasant to work with. His surgical competence is a 20 - I've never felt more secure with a surgeon.

My first impression of him was that he knew what he was doing and that he believed in this surgery.
My impression only became more sure with time.
I loved his office staff(nurses & counter people). They (especially Betsy) were fantastic. They also made you feel like they knew what they were doing and that they cared about you. The only one that I wasn't especially fond of was the insurance lady, not for any real reason, but she wasn't rude or anything. Just a different personality maybe.
The thing I like the least about him... was it was hard to get the initial office time with the doctors, they are very busy with many patients. That is a good thing and a bad thing, but... when you did get in to see them, they were willing to take the time. So... if you want someone who will not be on schedule as far as office time, but willing not to rush out the door when its your turn, these guys were the ones to go to!
I would want others to know that after the surgery he is really there for you and he will answer any question you have, he did for me anyway.
He is very big on follow up care!
He does have a structured aftercare program. When I had surgery, you could be involved as much or as little as you want.
He is very thorough on his pre-surgery information session that you are required to attend if you are considering surgery.
I would say overall, that with both Dr. Georgen and Dr. Wasco (the other surgeon) were the best team out there! They made me feel comfortable, they answered all my questions, and they listened!
I would have to say that both (surgical competence & bedside manner)are critical when it comes to this surgery. I needed to know that the people I was placing my life's hands in were capable in a life threatening situation. I needed to know that if intervention was needed they were able!!! I also know now that you feel very miserable those first few days, and I needed someone who was willing to take the time to listen to me and help me to focus on the path ahead!

Dr.'s Georgen and Wasco preformed my surgery together. They were both very caring and made sure I knew what to expect. Both came to visit me at the hospital after surgery. Their office staff was outstanding in their genuine caring natures. I alway felt that they cared about me. I have called their office for some questions about my healing and they made sure I could be seen as soon as possible.

Thus far, my impression of Dr. Georgen is very positive. He appears extremely educated. His personality is a perfect blend of professionalism and realism. Dr. Wasco was at the info. session and he speak as well. Dr. Wasco seemed a tad bit more straight laced than Dr. Georgen (not a bad thing). Betsy, Julie and Carol have been very prompt at returning my calls and answering my questions. With the support and structured aftercare program, I am confident that they will aide in my speedy recovery and months of hard work and dedication.

Dr. Georgen is a very nice fun man. Him and Dr. Wasco Have a great bedside manor. Both of these men know how to treat a person and make them feel good about themselves. They are understanding to your needs. The staff is very nice also. The nurses are quick to answer questions and help you in anyway. Besty, who runs the program is very helpful throughout the whole process. My parents were in the surgery waiting room, and were very impressed when the doctors came out after surgery to talk with them and answered all their questions. They were very happy to see 2 such caring doctors. I would tell anyone in the wisconsin area who is looking for a WLS doctor, to call these guys cuz in my book they are the best!!!
