He is really nice and the program he set up and now runs is a great one. He has a low rate of complications. He is really thorough.

My first impression of my surgeon was that he is pompous and arrogant. But as time passed and I got to know him, I realized he is very confident . Anyway, he knows what he is doing and that is all I needed for some reassurance going through WLS.

I found Dr Aranow to be extremely knowledgeable and personable. His staff have been very pleasant and helpful whenever needed. He cares about what he's doing and takes pride in his work. Every possible risk was addressed during the first meeting and any and all questions were answered fully. He has in place an excellent before and after surgery support system. I personally found Dr Aranow to be an excellent professional. I highly recommend you meeting him and attending his seminar and you too will feel confident he is the right choice for you.

Dr, Johnathon Aranow is both a skilled and compassionate surgeon who seems somewhat arrogant to many, BUT to me he was straight forward and compassioned in his efforts to help people obtain their goals of a better and healthier life.rnrnHe operated on me on Tuesday, May 29th with little to no complications. I came out expecting pain, but was surprised with the lack of it, mostly discomfort was all. All in all he did a remarkable surgery and I will be eternally greatful

my first impression of Dr. A was that he looked young. Dr. A is a wonderful surgeon. I had many probems with my surgery and after and he handled every thing with care . One thing sticks out in my mind I had to have emergency surgery a week later after my surgery I had asked the techs that were undressingme were Dr. A was He came out of nowere and held my hand until I was under To me that shows he is caring and capassonate.sometimes he can be cocky but he knows what he is doing Great doctor

This guy rocks. He is a self-described arrogant fellow, but it's more than worth it because a) he really is as good as he says he is and b) he really cares about his patient's success. My PCP told me he's the best in the state and all of my research confirms this.rnHis office staff has been very professional and warm, too. rnI am halfway through my insurance waiting period. Up to this point, I am very satisfied.rnI'll update as I learn more.

My first impression of Dr. Aranow was 'this guy knows his stuff!' He was confident almost to the point of cockiness but for me thats good. He seems to really know what he's doing. rnHis office staff is great. I have only really had contact with Lois and Vanessa but they both are super. They really treat you like a person and are genuinely interested and concerned with your well being. rnHad my RNY on 10/27/06 and Dr. A has been wonderful ever since! I had an issue with what I thought was pulled stiches after stupidly deciding to vacuum but he saw me the next day and assured me that it was just a pulled muscle. He had just gotten back my blood work and combined the 'emergency' appt with my 3 month follow up, and gave me a clean bill of health. rnI would HIGHLY recomend him to anyone seeking WLS in the CT area. He is strong and confident, knows what he is doing and constantly reinforces my first impression that he truly does care about the health and wellbeing of his patients.

He looks like Doogie Howser, he seems so young, but he is really nice and encouraging.rnrn10/06- He is not the best at post-op help though. I have been trying to see him for 4 months and he has cancelled on me everytime. I finally see hima nd tell hima bout my blackouts and he blames me and says I could stroke out. Well bye now!!!

My first impression of Dr. Aranow was that he was a very compassionate person and some one whom I would feel comfortable telling anything to, even the embarrassing stuff. It is hard for me to feel comfortable with a Dr. so this is a plus. I have just started seeing him. His office staff is very pleasant and helpful. He is very informative. There is no pressure to go into surgery. What I have gotten from him is that he wants people to be well informed, that this is a life altering experience and there will be a lifetime of after care to be had. He lays all the cards out good and bad, there is no sugar coating on anything. I like the straight forward answers and approach. We shall see, but so far I am extremely confident in him and his staff.
