Mary Sue Izzo - Nutritional Counseling

Mary Sue Izzo, MS, RD, CD-N is a program dietitian at the Middlesex Health Center for Medical & Surgical Weight Loss.

Mary Sue earned her Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. She then completed a dietetic internship at Yale-New Haven Hospital and a Master of Science in Bio/Nutrition at the University of Bridgeport. She has experience in both clinical inpatient hospital and ambulatory settings. Therapeutic specialties have included cardiology, diabetes, oncology, ICU, and pediatrics.. Mary Sue also developed corporate based health promotion, cardiac rehab nutrition programs and weight loss programs while working at Yale-New Haven Hospital. Mary Sue was recognized Young Dietitian of the Year by the Connecticut Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (previously the Connecticut Dietetic Assoc.). She had leadership roles in the organization as a media spokesperson and president.

Mary Sue joined Dr. Aranow in 2007 with the focus of counseling and educating bariatric surgical patients. She now works with both Medical and Surgical weight loss patients providing nutritional counseling and support.
