I first heard about the practice Dr lyass from some radio ads here in LA. Dr Lyass practices at both Cedar Sinai and Top surgeon of Beverly Hills. Dr Lyass is very direct and easy to talk with. He clearly cares for his patients and makes himself available via email at all hours of the day. I was even offered Dr lyass direct cell phone number. I never needed it since he emailed with 2 hours of a request. I love the use of email to communicate with my doctors because it allows me to look multiple times at the doctors instructions and ask questions. Before I first went to Dr. Lyass I researched his background it is very impressive. I had very good results from my lap band surgery. He is very skilled and I recommend him highly. He also worked closely with my GP and was also responsive to her about her requests. It is great when your doctors work as a team many don't. Dr lyass provides his patients complete written instruction that are written or tailored by him for his methods. he takes time to review that information with you.rnrnthe bottom line is I recommend Dr Lyass
Dr. Lyass is great, he is direct and to the point and he will listen to you. He personally answered my emails and was quick in his responses. I am 3 days after my procedure and feeling well. Simply put, he does what he says he will do - you can trust him.
Dr Korman and his staff are AWESOME!!! My first impression of Dr Korman was that he was is very kind, smart, caring and professional doctor who helped me make the biggest decision of my life. All of my fears about the surgery were gone after my first consultation. I strongly recommend Dr Korman to everybody who is considering weight loss surgery.rn
Dr. Jeremy Korman is the best! When I had my consultation, he took me into his office and explained everything about the surgery, the options I had, and what it would cost. He explained the aftercare and risks as well. He is very knowledgeable, kind and sweet (plus incredibly handsome!). I had complete trust in him. After the surgery he visited my bedside every day. He has a wonderful, caring bedside manner. rnrnIn my own personal experience, I was not impressed with the hospital, however. I believe they should have been more sanitary and nurses and aides could have been more caring and attentive. The office staff is a good staff for the most part. rnrnI would recommend Dr. Korman to ANYONE!rn
Dr. Sergey Lyass, MDrnrnDr. Lyass is an outstanding surgeon. He is on the staff of the Dept. of Surgery at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, the BEST hospital in Southern California, and he has many years of experience with laparascopic and bariatric surgery in Israel, after receiving his medical degree in Russia in the 80's. He trained and practiced at Hadassah Hospital in Jerusalem, which friends tell me is an outstanding hospital, then came to America and was a resident and practiced at Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York, which I am also told is a fine hospital. He has been on staff at Cedars-Sinai since 2006, and now has his own bariatric practice. He is not listed on this website, but he is MUCH MORE experienced than many of the doctors who are; it's just that his experience has been mostly outside the USA. rnHe has a wonderful, friendly staff. Irina, his coordinator, is an ANGEL, who makes sure things get done, and takes care of EVERYTHING! rnrnI have no doubt that Dr. Lyass' reputation will grow and grow with time here in Southern California. Luckily, I already knew about him!
Love My Doc! Although he truly specializes in RNY, he is a fantastic Surgeon. He makes you feel very comfortable and will answer any questions you may have. I met him 1 year before I had my surgery ( I had to appeal) He took time to explain everything the pros and cons and his office has and excellent staff (Nutritionist, Nurse, Social Worker, etc ) and offers a support group and post-op care. He is a very competent and has a great bedside manner. My only complaint is that most of his patients are RNY and his support group has more GB patients. He is beginning to do more LB procedures and hopefully will have a LB only support group very soon.
Dr. Korman is a wonderful doctor. The first time I saw him was at a seminar with Bill Handel. He looks so young; and what a cutie!! But once he began answering each question, even the tough ones, I felt instantly comfortable with my decission to have the surgery. Dr. Korman immediately puts you at ease as soon as you meet him. rnrn His office staff is amazing. I remember seeing them all at the same seminar that I first met Dr. Korman. Maria, Bridgett, Roana, Dr Anna, etc. This same team will be with you every step of the way. rnrn On the day of my surgery my mom was very nervous but Dr. Korman took the time to speak with her and reassure her that I was fine. After the surgery I remember him coming in to check on me and bringing the cuties teddy bear to hold against myself when I have to cough or stand, etc.rnrn Dr. Korman was extremely honest about the risks, mortality rate and side effects and made sure that I fully understood everything. At every office visit he asked if I had any questions or concerns. And made sure that I understood everything about the procedure I was about to have. rnrn I would recommend Dr Korman to anyone who is anticipating having the surgery and needs a little more hand-holding to get through it.rn
MY surgeon .. DR. Jeremy Korman; He is very very nice , kind and he takes time to listen as well as explain the if and's but's.rnThe offfice staff is very together as far as teamwork and being a nurse myself I know that teamwork is very important. I haven't yet found any dislikes about him or his staff. If you are planning on seeing this doctor make sure you are willing to do as you are told and follow all that you are told for the rest of your life because, he is in for the long haul. The risk of surgery are there but today they are far less and he will explain it fluently . Overall I rate Dr.Korman and his staff a 99 out 100pts.and I am sure He will earn 100 plus points afterwards post-op.If you think about Dr.Froid I believe the empathy and bedside care are still the best and needed in recovery. to recover.I will give more When I am on the losing side.Thankyou
