Jorge L. Rodriguez, M.D. Bariatrics Bariatric Center
My first thought of doc. Rod was he is in and out fast. I felt like he blew in and right back out so quickly. I learned later that it doesn't take him long to do anything.. he is very professional and caring. My surgery took about 1 hour and I was amazed. He is straight to the point cut and dry. He is a very stern man and I like that about him. He will get on you if you don't do what he has told you to do and you will sure know about it! He is the greatest and I thank God for doc. Rod i moved to GA after my surgery and I still travel all this way to see him... He is the best in my book and I don't want to see another doc. Thank you DOCTOR ROD!!!! His office did mess up one of my appointments and I had drove all that way for nothing. I was very upset but nobody can be perfect.. That is the only negative thing that i have experienced from him or his office....Eurla
My first impression was very friendly, but professional. I only grew more fond of him. I am sure he doesn't remember me from Eve but I will never forget him! His office staff are very nice and helpful. There isn't anything I didn't like about Dr. Rodriguez. He is very friendly, straight forward, right to the point and for the most part, comforting! On a scale of 1-10, since I don't have anything to compare him to, I would have to give him at least a 10! Both surgical competence and bedside manner are great.
I finally met Dr. Rodriguez on September 22. I was looking for this huge flubbery man to enter my room by the comments that have been made about him. Instead, yes the man is big, but granted, he looks more like an athlete. So, me, i had to ask around, and sure enough I found out that he played pro football!!!!!! How cool is that. So, its not a fat man ladies and gents, thats an athlete. I really liked him. He sat and listened to all the questions that my husband and I had. He wanted more checks on my heart which upset me because I wanted to get it done right then, but I'm so thankful that he cares enough to get the best opinions on ya first. Yes, he's very very blunt, but thats better than some that won't tell you a thing out of fear of hurting your feelings. This man is a good'en.rnrnrn<img src=\"http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j254/gclemons/ginablondelavender.gif\">
my first impression was that he only talked about the surgery and me. People say that when the doctor is all business, they are the best ones.rnrnMy impression is still the same.rnrnHis office staff is reliable.rnrnI like him very well.rnrnHe doesn't spend a great deal of time with you as a patient. But he puts you first.rnrnHe talks alot bout the aftercare.rnrnHe told me that with any surgery there is a degree of risks.rnrnI would rate him great.rnrnboth his surgical competence and bedside manner are great.rn
I wasn't sure about Dr. Rodriguez on my first visit... he was in a hurry and I felt he wanted me to have the Bypass instead of the Band, which I wanted. I stuck with the band, and after a couple more visits, I knew he was THE ONE! I learned he's a trauma surgeon, if he says something, you'd better do it, and he knows his stuff. When I had a problem, he got me in right away, although normally, it talkes forever to see him. There's an office wait usually, but now I know why...he's the best! I recently moved to IL and he offered to continue seeing me although my medical card wouldn't pay for the fills. He said it didn't matter. Not too many doctors left like that. I just wish I could drive the 450 miles to keep him as my doctor. I've reached my goal of a 200 lb weight loss and so glad he was my doc. YOU ROCK, Doctor Rod!
