Jeffrey Hannon, M.D. Bariatrics Bariatric Center
MY SURGEON WAS A VERY HONEST AND NICE PERSON.
I AM STILL WELL PLEASED WITH HIM.
THEY WERE VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL.
I HAVE NO COMPLAINTS WITH HIM SO FOR.
HE HAS A LONG WAITING LIST TO SEE HIM.
VERY IMPORTANT.
DO NOT KNOW.
HE EXPLAINED ALL THE RISK GOOD OR BAD VERY WELL.
A VERY GOOD DOCTOR SO FAR.
DO NOT KNOW YET.
Dr. Hannon was very infomative, he didn't rush through the consultation at all. He made me feel very at ease and answered all my questions. His office staff was great. We really didn't get into the aftercare too much at that visit. But I go back in a couple of weeks to schedule my pretesting and surgery so I am sure we will get into that on that visit. He told me of the risk and had me to watch a very informative film about the surgery I believe that surgical competence and bedside manner is both equally important, you want a top surgeon doing your surgery and also one with good bedside manner to answer all your concerns with compassion and knowledge. Mrs Thompson that handles the insurance was great also, she helped with many questions and told me to call her anytime with questions and to ask about anything at all. Over all I would reccomend this dr to anyone.
Dr. Hannon in Mobile is great! He actually took the time, while at home on a Sunday afternoon, to record a video tape explaining the entire procedure. He now requires his patients to view it. This helps to prevent omission of something due to repetition. There are four doctors in this office and they are all very busy. Between the four of them they will only schedule 2 WLS procedures per day. My second consult was on Feb. 19 and the next available date for surgery was May 2 (10 weeks away). Their success rate is very high and their services are in great demand these days with such great results. He does emphasize aftercare with a 1 week follow-up, then 3 wks, then 1 month, then 2 months, then 3 months, then I believe after 3 more months. After the first year he wants to see you annually. He strongly recommends drinking lots of water and walking. They even get you up to walk while you're in the recovery room! I took my mom with me for my Feb. visit. She thinks very highly of him also. He wears a gold cross on his lapel, so I know I will be in good hands.
My first impression of Dr. Lane was that he is
a good listener. He listened to me and answered
all of my questions. I feel that he is an
honest man with my health at the top of his
list. The staff has also been a pleasure to
deal with. They let you know right off that
if I have any questions, please call...That
means a lot!! On a scale of 1-10 I rate the
entire office a 9!!
i had my first consult with dr. snow but was then advised my some friends in the medical field to consider switching to dr. hannon. i went back for a second consult with dr. hannon and i am glad i did. dr. hannon has a good bedside manner and is very thorough in his explaination of the procedure. i was much more at ease with dr. hannon.
his office staff is wonderful and do what they say they are going to do when they say they are going to do it. i never had to go behind and check on my file. they took care of it all.
i spent a great deal of time researching this surgery before i ever went in for a consult, so i had a good idea of what to expect before and after surgery. i was surprised to find out that dr. hannon took the time to make a video that covered some of the general questions associated with gastric bypass surgery. he covered several things on the tape that i had not considered. i went in with a sheet full of questions for him and he answered all of them without rushing me. i am very comfortable with him.
I really like Dr. Hannon. He seems to be very knowledgeable on this surgery. Which is a good thing huh. LOL! I'm just getting to know him and his office staff is friendly enough. When I get to know more about him, I'll write again. I was referred by my Doctor(GYN). She recommended that I have the surgery. Dr. Hannon told me the pro and cons of the surgery. He gave me a lot of information about the surgery and I had to watch a video at his office about the sugery. I kind of wondered if he showed me the video to see if I would run out of his office after knowing what exactly was involved. No such luck. I'm ready! LOL! I really feel comfortable with Dr. Hannon. I have been told a lot of good things about him from his other patients. They say he's the BEST!
I love Dr. Hannon because he was sensitive to myneeds and condition. He did not make me feel as though I should be ashamed of myself and helped me as much as he could. The wait time is long, but it will be worth it!Both his surgical competence and bedside manner are great. I completely trusted him. He will explain anything for you. I do see the need for a nutrition and psychological classes.
Very impressed with him.
So far my first impression hasn't changed.
Very helpful and informative.
I can't say that there was anything about him that i dislike.
From what all i've heard about him he has a great reputation and i'm glad i chose him.
He expresses that aftercare is the most important part.
Yes
He explains in detail all the risks.
very good doctor.
Both great.
On my first visit I thought that he was very nice and knowledgable. 12/13/01 On today's visit I started to like him a lot more. I had been asking some of the doctors that I work with about Dr. Snow. They all had good thing to say about him. They mostly talked about his abilities in this particular type surgery which increased by confidence level greatly. He was very "down to earth, somewhat serious-minded, but something this life changing is a very serious matter. He was also very up front. He does not give into some of the rationalizations we "Pleasantly Plumb" individuals dish out to explain the reason that we are, for a lack of a better term, "FAT". For me this quality will be helpful in that will allow me to admit defeat with the weight loss battle and keep me geared in the right direction.
