Bariatrics and Medical Weight Loss North - Community Health Bariatric Center
My first impression of Dr. Jones was WOW! She just has an amazing upbeat personality that just really made me feel so good about myself and the process. She really made me feel like she was truly excited that I had come to her for help. She was very thorough and explained everything at length. I would giver her a 10/10 so far. I cannot wait until she performs my surgery and begins my \"new life.\"
Super nice guy. Love the staff at the bariatric center also. They put the patients needs first. I was so impressed to have the doctor's nurse, the physiatrist, the doctor's assistant and the doctor all come in and visit the day after surgery. It was a pleasure to see all of them. rnDr. Ditslear has a wonderful bedside manner. Makes a person feel very comfortable with him. rnThe entire staff makes sure you have adequate aftercare, from the 2 week checkup to the support group meeting which are mandatory.

My first impression of Dr. Jones was that she was very capable, very kind and funny and compassionate. The office staff were also all very nice. There was nothing I haven't liked so far about Dr. Jones. Risks and aftercare were both stressed. Dr. Jones stated she does not do lap-band procedures for ethical reasons, but will refer you to someone else in her practice if that is what you want. She did explain why she doesn't do them (puts you through a major surgery but long term it doesn't work as well, so ultimately if revision is requested, puts you at greater risk than just doing RNY in the first place.)rnrnI felt so far that she appears to have both very high surgical competence and beside manner. I will update if my impressions change at any point.
I picked ms. jones because of a referal from a few different people. I thought she was very nice from the beginning, also she stayed the same till after the surgery. Then I did feel like she was a little more friendly and talked to me more on a personal bases than just another client. She was very professional at all times, always asked if I had any questions. The only thing that upset me was at about 7 weeks I was sitting in bed reading and all of a sudden I started having heart palpations and it scared me so I called her answering service and basically the Dr. I had to talk to that was on call for my doc did not seem to care and asked me if I had a family doc and said I should see him. I guess it was nothing serious and she knew that, because it stopped after what seemed a long time (10) minutes I guess. She had a very structured before and after program as far as I know, I do not have much to compare it to. The risks of the surgery were given to me when I first went to see her. Overall I would have to rate her excellent, I base this on the comments I have heard from a lot of people waitng in her office, and I muct say I was never worried or scared before surgery. I would have to say surical comp. but both were great.
My first impression of Dr. Jones is that she is very skilled, caring and compassionate. I feel she really understands and wants to help.rnrnMy second impression is that she is very busy. She does move very, very fast. She has to. I came for a 9:30 a.m. consult. After the consult you have the opportunity for a private meeting. I was the last patient of the day to have my private meeting with her. I was #30 of 30. Be prepared to spend the day.rnrnSurgery competence is what has taken me to Dr. Jones. I am still pre-surgery, so I don't yet know about her bed-side manner. I do know she made me feel very comfortable, and that is very important.
My first impression of Dr. Jones was WOW, how can she do that in so little time? and be so short to boot? She is really a wonderful lady! She has changed my life forever! My impression of her has never changed, I will be forever greatful for Dr. Jones!rnrnDr. Jones office Staff is the best of all doctors offfices I have ever been in! One in particular is Nurse Marta! She is always there with a happy smile whether she has good news or bad. She will walk you through everything and make sure that you understand. Nurse Marta has been through the surgery herself so she knows the walk and talks the talk. She just doesn't give you a line of phony bologna. She is incredible and I can see why Dr. Jones would have Nurse Marta as her nurse! Way to go Nurse Marta, I love you!!rnrnThe only thing I can say that I least like about Dr. Jones is that the waiting time to see her is always so long. Other then that, I can not think of one thing that would cross my mind as negetive. Good things come to those who wait!!!rnrnWhat should future pts know about Dr. Jones? Be patient, and do everything that your doctor tells you. Your doctor tells you things for a reason. Listen and do!!!rnrnDr. Jones emphasizes after care strongly!! Sip, sip, sip.... chew, chew, chew... walk, walk, walk is a must!!!! Take your vitamins, and meds as directed. Do not do anything else anyone tells you to do.... always ask your doctor first!!! If you do not follow through to the TEE you are in for a world of trouble!!!rnrnI would rate Dr. Rose Marie Jones as the most excellent, well rounded, intelligent human being ever!!!! I trusted her with my life, why would I think any different!!?? Her surgical competence and beside manner are better then any doctor I have ever had to deal with.... overall rating.... 100% SUPERB!!! You rock, Rosie!!!!!
To answer questions in order on the left:rnrnDr. Jones was wonderful.rnMy impression of her did not change at all.rnThe office staff are very knowledgeable and very nice.rnThere is nothing I did not like about her or her staff.rnDr. Jones is very honest and will tell you if she thinks you will be approved or if you will have trouble with insurance.rnShe emphasize's that aftercare is very important to keep the weight off and to stay healthy.rnDr. Jones holds a class before surgery and they go over all the risks involved.rnI would rate Dr. Jones excellent.rnI believe both, surgical competence and bedside manners are a big plus!
She met with a large group and fully explained the evolution of gastric bypass surgery and how they learned and proceeded to make the surgery more successful. She expertly answered any and all questions. She looked through my file privately and told me I was perfect for this surgery. I weighed 332 at my heaviest. The office staff was good, but it seemed they were always remodeling and changing the office which was in the hospital.rnHer nurse had also had the surgery so she could emphasize with us. The furniture was all large and there were before and after photos on the wall for encouragement. I believe surgical competence is most importance because the nurses and aids work closer with you in your waking hours. I would highly recommend her or any surgeon in her office complex. It is a Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence.
