My surgeon is amazing and genuine! I would recommend him and nurse Sue Dugan in a heartbeat; I absolutely have NO regrets for my bariatric decisions. I went to several \"seminars\" and when I attended C-SM, it solidified my decision. Dr. Regan has a very caring attitude about his patients and he makes himself available for questions; doesn't make you feel rushed for his time. He handled all my questions as if each one was important no matter how small. Dr. Regan even made a point to visit his patients while we were still in the hospital which speaks alot for his character; something you rarely see in my own experiences. I have no personal connection to Dr. Regan but I will always consider him a family member in my own heart. Thank you Dr. Regan for giving me this opportunity to reclaim a healthier life style! With much Love and Respect always Dr. Regan!

My first impression of Dr. Siverhus was that he seems to be a friendly, but yet, a sort of quiet and reserved person. But then, I imagine I gave the same impression. He is a great doctor who took time to explain things to me whether I had questions or not. The staff is nice, helpful and always ready to offer any assistance needed. Dr. Siverhus and his staff always explained everything about the surgey and it's after-care in detail all while continueously emphasizing the importance of eating right and exercising in order to make this \"TOOL\" successful. During my hospital stay, I couldn't have asked for a better Doctor. Dr. Siverhuses true concern for his patients only shined even brighter. And only a week after my surgery, I was back in his office and he was just as (if not more) happy at my already 8lb. weight loss and lowered blood surgery. I will always gladly recommend Dr. C. Siverhus to anyone who is seeking either information about or WLS itself. Many thanks to Dr. Craig Siverhus and his staff for helping me get on the road to a much healthier life. Thanks Guys!rnrnJanie

I am due to have surgery with Dr Regan on Monday March 9th. I immediately liked him. He walked in the room with a smile, shook my hand, asked me questions and listened to my answers. He is very friendly, and puts you at ease. He explained the surgery, had a lap band sample there for me to hold and look at. He checked the area where I had a couple of previous surgeries and explained that there may be scar tissue but he would work with that. He is the kind of Doctor that you instantly know he is the right one.

I will admit going into my first informational meeting at 240 pounds I was a little nervous. Most people were shocked to know my actual weight, and I was constantly told that I did not look 240, more like 200 tops. I wondered what people would think of me. Compared to others would I not be big enough? Truth be told, I was at my heaviest weight ever. Being only 27, I was worried. What would the rest of my life be like. I tried the diets, and all the exercising. I worked out 20+ hours a week (7 hours a week with a personal trainer.) In the end I lost a few inches here and a few inches there. But when you weigh over 200 pounds what is a few inches here and there? I needed to lose, and needed to lose big time. I grew more and more frustrated after putting in all the hard work and not seeing any results. I finally turned to WLS. I went to the informational meeting and was on my new path to a new life. I met Dr. Regan at the Columbia St. Mary’s seminar in Jan. 2008. Never in my wildest dreams would I think that by November I would have had my surgery, but prayers are answered.rnrnDr. Regan was very informative at the meeting. I liked his demeanor. (Not to mention he’s cute!) I met Dr. Regan's staff as well at the meeting. At my first appointment I started getting to know the staff at CSM. I loved all the girls, and they were more then understanding on some of my bad days. Sue Dugan is the main administrator and she walked me through every step along the way. She helped with everything from insurance approval, to supporting me in the beginning rough stages. She always says, “if you have any questions just call.” I have had to call my fare share of times. It is nice to know that there is someone caring on the other end of the phone. The entire staff (including the dieticians) are wonderful. I can not say enough good things about them.rnrnAfter 7 months of appointment I got to know Dr. Regan better. I see him as a caring and compassionate doctor. Someone, who truly cares about the well being of his patients. After all I think it takes a special someone to operate on obese patients. Someone, who is compassionate enough to understand all the struggles that we have been through. Dr. Regan is the type of doctor that want’s to see you succeed.rnrnMy surgery went very well. I remember waking up to Dr. Regan coming in for my post op visit. He checked in on me periodically during my three day hospital stay. Overall my hospital care was good. I had one bad day in the hospital which I will not go into detail about. Other than that the staff was wonderful and for the most part I was very comfortable there.rnrnThe follow up care at CSM is highly emphasized. Diet and of course exercise are crucial after surgery. Dr. Regan and his staff always remind you that WLS is just a “TOOL”. It is not a permanent fix. You will need to work at it, and give it all that you can. This is not a problem for me knowing that in the end I will see results. (And I am 40 pounds down two months post op.) They also offer a support group that meets twice a month. If it were not for the wonderful Wisconsin snow storms I would have been able to attend more thus far. They are also highly emphasized to attend for long term care.rnrnDr. Regan's bedside manner and surgical competence are both rated a 10 by me. I have had NO problems since surgery, and my heeling has been great! I would highly recommend Dr. Regan and his staff to anyone considering weight loss surgery. They have changed my life, and in the end have given me a gift that no other can.rn

Dr. Siverhus is a God send. He is the nicest Dr. I have ever met. He is so understanding, and really took his time to explain everything to me. His smile is so contagious, and it was good to see that before I went in for surgery. His office staff was equally as friendly. Everyone treated me with kindness and respect. I would recommend the Columbia-St Mary's Bariatric Center to anyone in the area who is considering the surgery.
