Dr. Stahl is a caring man who wants to help everyone that comes to him. He listens to his patients. I have the utmost respect for him.

The staff at Cahaba Valley Surgical is caring and friendly. They want to help and are kept very busy with all of the new patients that are coming for surgery. Bariatric surgery isn't all that they do. They are very good surgeons for all types of surgery.

I trust Dr. Stahl with any surgery that I may need. I give Dr. Stahl the most excellently superior rating as a dr. and a surgeon.

I never thought today would get here, but it did. I had my consultation with Dr. Sherer. I have to say, he is a WONDERFUL man. I felt very comfortable with him. He listened to me and my mom's questions and never acted like he was tired or bored with us. He said I needed this surgery. I have lost a few pounds though!! I was excited about that. But, I also found out that I'm not as tall as I thought either LOL. Now we play the waiting game with insurance. I'm so excited!!

I had my first visit with Dr. Stahl today and I found him to be very informative and to the point. His office staff was very helpful and polite. I was about 30 minutes early for my appointment( it was scheduled for 1:00 p.m.) I went straight to the front desk, I was asked for my insurance card and driver's license and was told to have a seat. I was waiting maybe 10 minutes and then I was called into the back where I was weighed and my height was checked. After this I was put straight into a room and Dr. Stahl came in about 3 minutes later. He examined me and told me about the procedure, he gave me the pros and cons and then he asked if I had any questions. I was then directed to the payment counter which took only a minute or two and the insurance clerk told me that she would be giving me a call next week to schedule my surgery. All in all it was a very pleasant visit and I was in and out of the office by 1:05 p.m.

Dr.Stahl is very nice and concern about his patients. He beleives that the Lord gave him his ability to be a surgeon. He put a lot of emphasize on aftercare and support groups. He talked about the risks of the surgery. He spent a much time with me as I needed.

His office is very nice with oversize chairs for us. His staff was very nice to me. I give Dr. Stahl and his staff a very high overall rateing.

My first impression was that he was a nice man. He had an emergency surgery to attend but he took his time and answered our million questions..:o) He gave it to us straight though, was honest in the seriousness of this surgery and we appreciated that. The office staff initally have been very nice and informative. I have only been once but I think things will go well. This is all for now.

I am even more impressed with Dr. Stahl. The morning of my surgery, I had second thoughts. Dr. Stahl came in and he understood my fear and assured me that if I wanted to back out that noone would be angry and that he understood; that it was my decision. He came back a few minutes later and lead us in prayer. Right then and there I knew that God had lead me to this man who would be a tool in making my quality of life better. I thank God for Dr. Stahl. His bedside manner is impeccable! I would recommend him to anyone!

DR. STAHL WAS GREAT. MY FIRST IMPRESSION WAS GOOD, BUT SINCE I'M NOW 4 WKS. POST OP, I CAN SAY EVEN BETTER THINGS ABOUT BOTH HIM AND DR. SHERER. I WAS VERY, VERY SCARED PRIOR TO SURGERY. MY FEAR WAS MAKING IT THROUGH SURGERY. I WAS MUCH MORE CONCERNED ABOUT THE SURGERY ITSELF THAN I WAS THE POST OP PERIOD. ONCE I HAD THE LEAK TEST THE DAY AFTER SURGERY AND IT WAS OK, I FELT LIKE "I'D MADE IT." I FELT IF I MADE IT THROUGH SURGERY SUCCESSFULLY, I COULD FOR SURE DO THE REST. I SAW DR. SHERER THE DAY AFTER MY SURGERY AND THE NEXT DAY WHEN HE DISCHARGED ME. IT WAS OBVIOUS TO ME THAT THESE DRS. WERE CHRISTIANS AND THAT WAS IMPORTANT TO ME. BEFORE I DID THIS, I TURNED IT OVER TO GOD. I GIVE HIM THE GLORY FOR SUCH A GOOD EXPERIENCE. I DO THANK THE DRS. FOR ALL THAT THEY DID, BUT MOST OF ALL, FOR FEELING THE SAME AS I ABOUT THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE. MY HUSBAND THANKED THE DRS. AND TOLD DR. SHERER THAT HE WAS JUST AMAZED AT WHAT THEY COULD DO. DR. SHERER TOLD US THAT HE COULD NOT TAKE THE CREDIT, HE GAVE GOD THE CREDIT FOR ALL THAT HE DOES. THAT REALLY CONFIRMED TO ME THAT I'D MADE THE RIGHT DECISION. I'VE BEEN TOLD BY MANY MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS THAT THIS GROUP IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. I JUST CAN'T SAY ENOUGH ABOUT THEM AND HOW GLAD I AM THAT I CHOSE THEM. NOT ONLY THEIR SURGICAL COMPETENCE, BUT THEIR BEDSIDE MANNER WAS JUST AS GREAT. ALOT OF TIMES, YOU GET EITHER/OR. NOT WITH, CAHABA VALLEY SURGICAL GROUP.

I must admit that i was very nervous when i arrived at the office. I had to wait almost 45 minutes before he arrived. He was in surgery. Anyway it didn't take me long to get in to a room and talk with him. He gave me a great deal of information and had answered most of the questions i had. His confidence in his work helped eased my anxiety. The only thing I didn't like was he seemed a bit rushed. his beeper kept going off. He had to leave out a few times to answer a call. but when he returned he seemed to be all about me. as for his office staff, they seemed to be ok with me as a first imression.

Dr. Sherer and all his assitants were very nice to me.Excellent bedside manners and a firm beleiver that this all lies in Gods hands. I was treated greatly and never felt rushed. All my questions were answered and than some. This is the first doctor I have ever seen that has not rushed or made me feel like I was bothersome. They were very patient and that gets a lot of respect with me. I would recommend him to anyone.

I really liked Dr Stahl. He was patient with me and answered all of my questions.

My first impression of my surgeon was that he was very quite, but he has a very gentle sweet spirit about him. He was ver kind and patient allowing you to ask any questions that you could think of. He always acted like he was not in a big rush even though I know he is very busy he never appeared to be in a big rush. He was very through with what to expect the risks of surgery. I also heard from a friend that works at the hospital where they did my surgery that Dr. Stahl and his group of sugeons won an award for outstanding surgical preformance with very few complicaions. They were rated the top surgeons in this procedure for the state of Alabama. I'm very grateful for being led to this group.
