Sally, I am so sorry to hear about the cancelation! I know how you have looked forward to this time. Everything happens for a reason. I know how difficult things have been for you, but would you make Christmas with your mom and dad? My dad passed away 3 yrs. ago and I miss him terribly. Every yr. something would come up( husband is military) and we wouldn't get to go home for Christmas now hes retired and our fathers are gone. Just a little time will last in your hearts forever..... May god be with you. Hope you'll post when you get news on date? Take care

SALLY, I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL ....MY SURGERY WAS POST PONDED OCT. 28. I AM STILL WAITING. HOPE THINGS MOVE FASTER FOR YOU. MAY BE WE WILL HAVE IT AT THE SAME TIME. ENJOY YOUR PIZZA I WISH I WAS THERE TO SHARE ONE WITH YOU. GOD BLESS. DEB

Sally, Sally, Sally...I am SOOOO sorry, I can't even imagine your dissapointment. It will happen though, and you may not know it now, but there is a reason behind everything. Hang is there my friend, and I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Warm hugs...Rhonda :)

SALLY!!! WAhhhhhhh! It Sucks thats your surgery has been postponed!!! Hope you enjoyed some pizza!!! Dont worry your day will come and then you will much more appreciative of it after the hell you went thorugh to get this life changing surgery!!(not that you are not already appreciative) !! Sally I am so sorry to hear about your cancelled surgery. You are in my prayers. I know things will work out for you. The Good Lord is watching over you and will take good care of everything. Keep your chin up.

My dear Sally, I am sorry this has happened to you, I hope that they can find a spot for you at the end of the month, so you dont have to go and get approved again. I will be praying they find you a spot and sneak you in under the deadline.

ATTENTION SALLY SIMATOS FANS: Sally called the hospital and got a time to report to the hospital tomorrow! She was told to be on the 4th floor of the Reading Hospital (40 miles south of us)at 1:15 p.m. All day, she was worrying about our mutual friend Keith who lives 30 miles north of us! We are experiencing an ice storm event and he was to drive down this evening to get her to the hospital in the event she had a morning slot. Well, she was relieved when they scheduled her for the afternoon. That means that Keith can come down in the morning instead. I had my husband pick me up from work and we went directly to a Christian Book Store. I picked out the perfect journal for her to take to the hospital and we also gave her a phone card so she could keep in touch with us while in the hospital. I bought a beautiful spiritual card and we dropped these things off at her house on my way home from work. Of course, it was significantly emotional. We hugged, I reassured her that she would be just fine and I'd see her on the losing side. I left to come home. Another friend, Janis is staying with her tonite and that is a good thing. Well, strap yourselves in everyone! An hour after I got home, Sally called me and asked if I was sitting down. I sheepishly said, yes ~ why? She said guess who I just got off the phone with. At this point, I just couldn't imagine! Her surgeon's office. ALL ELECTIVE SURGERIES NEEDED TO BE CANCELLED FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE MONTH OF DECEMBER!!!!!!! Evidentally, The American Red Cross issued a statement that there is a critical shortage of blood in the state of Pennsylvania and they needed to cancel all surgeries. Can you believe this???? I was dumbfounded. I told her I would be so peeved. But things do happen for a reason. The first thing out of her mouth was, so does that mean I can order a pizza? lol She cleaned house of all her food. Hasn't had any REAL food since Saturday and now she has to wait until TENATIVELY Jan. 2, 2003. Then, there may be another snaffu, her insurance changes the first of the year so we need to pray that she will be approved A G A I N !!! So, she has tons of phone calls to make and didn't think she'd get in to her computer until much later. She asked me to post on her behalf. So, there ya have it.
