Sally Simatos: congratulations on your decision. I know it was probably extremely difficult to make, but I know it was the right decision, since it was made by YOU! I wish you well on your road to a thinner and healthier you through Weight Watchers or whatever other means you choose. I think you are an incredibly courageous and strong woman, and I have NO doubt that you will lose the weight if you so choose. Good luck, and please keep posting!

Hi Sally! You were my first thought when I woke up this morning, wondering what your decision would be...I'm so glad you were able to get rid of the anxiety. Best of luck to you with WW--please don't go away...we are just as interested in your progress with WW as we would have been with the WLS--we would miss your face if you went away! IT'S A GOOD LIFE!

Sally, always stick to your gut feelings, if something is telling you to wait, then you wait. You are not having this surgery for the peers you are having it for you, Sally! You are the one who has to be happy and always stick to your guns and your beliefs. I pray that God continue to keep his tender mercy upon you and you will certainly go far in life.

Hi Sally, I just want you to know how afraid I was that I would die. I left letters for my friend family and children and was sure that they would be reading them soon. This is a huge decision, and only you can make it. No one is going to be disapointed in you if you can't do it just now. Hang in there and see how things go. You might find that in the last minute you have more courage than you thought you had. All my love and prayers to you today and tomorrow what ever you decide. Hugs and smiles..

Hi Sally! Please don't worry that anyone would be disappointed! This surgery is for you and you alone. I was also terrified before surgery. It's very scarey to lay your life on the line to attain a life. What got me through it was knowing where I would be in a year, 5 years or 10 going on like I was. I kept that thought going and realized over and over again I needed this surgery to get my life back. I want you to know that we all love you no matter what. I will be praying for you. I am sending you mental hugs right now.

Hi Sally! I know you got to have butterflies just waiting for your surgery tomorrow and I know you are arfaid. But you have to let go and let GOD. I have not got a date for mines yet, I got approval from Blue Cross just waiting on the Doctor. I will be praying for you. Remerber if GOD bring you to it HE will bring you through it. I know it is easy for me to say this because it is not my time yet, but I hope when my time come that you will push me by you pray's too. When I am afraid I recit the 23rd psalm. Also remerber Paul tell us to Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to GOD; and the peace of GOD, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. So I know GOD WILL BE WITH YOU. Love Connie.

Hello Sally. First of all let me say that you will be in my prayers. It is your decision and only you can decide if and when surgery is the answer for you. I do want to tell you though I went through the exact same thing you are going through. I was sooooo scared and almost backed out but I knew if I did I thought I would be putting my life in greater danger. I, like you Sally, was over 500lbs. In fact 3 days after surgery I told I was at 565lbs. Now 5 months later I am at 398lbs. I will not lie, it wasa hard recovery for me, but it was the best thing I ever did. If you feel like you ever wanna talk pleaase feel free to email me and I will answer any questions for you. Hang in there hun, and I know you will know in your heart when the time is right. God Bless!

Hi Sally, You made the right decision for yourself. No one can say that this surgery is right for every single overweight person. If you have trepidations going into it you may not have the good recuperation necessary to be successfull. I hope you can feel assured that you are the only one who can commit to this surgery and you obviously are not at the place to go ahead with it. Good health to you.

Darling- everyone who needs this aurgery comes to it in their own time, and in God's own time. No, we do not love you any less. Your courage is abundant, and only YOU know when the time is. I will keep you in my prayers regardless. Please do not withdraw from AMOS, please do not let your fear rule your life. When you can't walk the path because of fear, remember that is when God carries you in His loving arms. You will have prayers and support no matter what you do, because you are God's beloved daughter.
