Hi Sally, I was so glad to see your post, even though you are having problems, I was pleased to hear from you. Glad to know you are loosing weight. Please keep posting, I worry about you. God bless you Sally on your journey. Feel better soon.
Glenda
Welcome back! So nice to see your smiling face on the board again. Sorry to hear that you are not feeling well. I have a young daughter that struggles with intestinal problems as well - gas, constipation and then diarrhea. The constipation bothers her most often. Her pediatrician states that Metamucil is not an effective stool softener/laxative - especially the sugar free kind. She has recommended mineral oil (3Tbsps and she's only 5 yo) every day. It has made a world of difference for her. We do use beano with her but prefer the liquid type. So easy to put a few drops on her food - it is tasteless - and it helps prevent the gassiness from her food.
Gas-X gel caplets are really small and very effective.
You mentioned about artificial sweeteners - some people have a very difficult time with them. I cannot chew sugar-free gum due to the instestinal gas/cramping that it causes. I also tend to stay away from artificially sweetened yogurt, juices etc.
Again, glad to hear from you. Don't be a stranger - you are among friends.
Hi Sally, I hope that things are still going well for you. I haven't seen a post from you lately, but I wanted to let you know that I have been thinking about you. Please let us know how you are doing. Luv and Hugs.
Sally -
I sure have missed hearing from you. I hope that you are doing well and that the snow is letting up. How are you feeling both physically and emotionally? I miss you and know that others do as well.
Hope to hear from you soon.
Cindy
Way to go Sally! Everything in its time! We all have to do what's best for US. You are always in my thoughts and prayers. Take care of YOU first and everything else will fall into place! hugs, Diane
Sally, I am so glad to see that you are doing so well. You have the right outlook on this journey to a healthy life. Just remember what a very wise person once said, "The race is not given to the swift or to the strong, but to those who endure to the end." Keep enduring Sally. I look forward to seeing you at the end of your weight loss race.
Hi Sally
so glad to see your posting on the site - you are moving on with your decision and may god bless you with your journey. as far as housework is concerned, when i was at my heighest weight and lowest of depression housework was a real burden to me - what i did was watch tv and then only get up and do something when the adverts were on - i only had limited energy for a few minutes at the most so by the end of the day i could look around and see what i had achieved and felt better than in the past when realising that i had sat around all day and the place getting into even more of a tip - even if it took 3 or 4 advert breaks at least i was able to clear a kitchen shelf or put some clothes away. so sally do hang on in there - the main thing to remember is that you are not putting on weight (wonderful feeling) and to take one day at a time (and one advert break at a time haha).
kind regards
