**This is Marilyn's daugter, I want to update everyone that my beautiful mom went to heaven yesterday. Her body just couldn't fight anymore and was giving up. As soon as i have information on exactly what happened to my her I will update you because i think that it's important that you all should know that although this surgery is a miracle there are risks! God bless you all for your kind words, i know my mom really appreciated them. Shonna

The latest update on Marilyn from her husband, Jerry - Carolyn, Thanks for sending the message on to the obesity site. They started Marilyn on dialysis tonight in hopes it would ease her struggle to heal the rest of her wounds. Jerry Marilyn's surgery was originally October 1 - she has now been in the hospital for a month and a half (and the majority of that time has been in the Critical Care Unit). This is our reality check, AMOS family -- this surgery is a lifesaving tool, but this can happen to anyone. My prayers are with Marilyn, Jerry, and their family (and the new grandbaby!). I trust that our loving and compassionate God will heal Marilyn and return her to those who love her soon. Hugs and blessings to all of you.

Dear Marilyn and Family, Please know that we are all praying for you. We have a wonderful caring God and sometimes when things go wrong we question WHY ? God has a plan for all our lives and he knows best. I pray that he will wrap his loving, healing arms around Marilyn and bring her safely through this and back to her family and freinds.

Just got back from being at the coast for four days with my DH -- had this email from Jerry: Carolyn,I am so sorry for not getting a message back to you any sooner. I know I have your phone number written down someplace in my notes but haven't found it yet. I have come back to Redmond for a day or two to catch up on a few things. We have had some setbacks on Marilyn's recovery again. We did have a very good Tue (almost two weeks ago) in which she was able to lip sync my name & blow a few kisses my way, plus slowly nod her head to a few questions. After that day she has only had a few short time frames in which she has been in a semi-conscious state. Her liver & kidney functions are trying hard to keep up with various hits and her white cell count has climbed. Each day is something new. I hope with prayer & positive thoughts we will see some improvements for her over time. I have printed a copy of some of the notes many have written for the web site. I have read some to her in hopes she will lock in on some of the positive words each have sent. My thanks to all. Jerry Thank you to all of you who are keeping Marilyn and Jerry in your prayers -- she's not out of the woods yet and any and all prayers are GREATLY appreciated. Hugs and blessings to all of you.
