Last night Marilyn's husband called me to update me on Marilyn's status. Marilyn had her surgery October 2nd and has had to endure four surgeries since that time. When the bile leaked into her system, it found its way between her layers of muscle and has destroyed the muscle. Two of the surgeries involved removing two full layers of the muscle. Marilyn is in a medically-induced coma at this time and is scheduled for another surgery this morning. All of us who look at this surgery KNOW that complications are possible - and while I have cried over posts of other post-ops who have developed complications, this was a real wake up call for me to have it happen to someone I consider a dear friend. Please keep Marilyn in your prayers -- I am claiming God's healing power and kindness for her now. We need Marilyn to be able to come home and join our post op group - and share her story with those who are looking at possibly having the surgery. Marilyn~You can do it!! You've come so far. Keep up the fight. It'll be worth it in the long run (I hear-my date is 11/12). Best wishes for a speedy recovery :)
