Well i went to see the cardio doc today and he was great.We went over my family history did and EKG and i was cleared for surgery by him.Then...... i went to the pulmonary Dr and almost had to stomp a mudhole in his a$$ and walk it dry.I dont think that you should ever be referred to a Dr that is against the type of surgery you are being referred for.Did that make sense?After being late 2 hours for my appointment he proceeded to tell me that i wasnt big enough for this surgery and i havent thought things all the way through.I am 5'10" and 353lbs.How big do i have to get for him to consider me " big".My BMI is 50.7 so ..........what is he thinking.I asked him if he was an A$$ everyday or was today just a special occasion.Needless to say i got my approval from him rather quickly with the request that i take my business elswhere from now on.Gladly.....So how was your day

Hi Alan, I tried to e-mail this to you, but it came back to me as not a known cs user. Anyway, I thought I'd post it here and hope you get it. I read your post and that was my biggest fear too. I asked the anesthesiologist about it and he told me not to worry, that had never happened to him in the 25 years he's been an anesthesiologist. Then he gave me the happy shot and I forgot all about it. They wheeled me into surgery and the next thing you know I'm waking up in recovery. I wasted a lot of time worry about it before surgery. You are going to be fine. Let me tell you, you are really going to enjoy your new life. I am only 7 weeks out and I haven't been happier in years. I have lost 40 pounds and 4 dress sizes and still going. But the best thing is I'm off all but one of my 8 meds. I know it's really hard, but relax and enjoy the ride. Bless you. Sharon Leach
