To dream anything that you want to dream, that is the beauty of the human mind. To do anything that you want to do, that is the strength of the human will. To trust yourself, to test your limits, that is the courage to succeed. Bernard Edmonds

In all things Remember, that the one above loves you, that He holds us all in his loving arms,He knows each of us by name.He said anything you ask for in "my name" will be given to you.So in His name I pray for you, that you be given strength, endurance, love, peace and most of all long life.In Jesus' name. When you wake up and see the faces of your loved ones in the recovery room, know that you have made it.Thank Him,Know that you have been blessed to see and to live out the rest of your days with the ones you love and the ones who love you.....Knowing that He loves you too. Happy soon to be ReBirthday.

I have a DATE (for the first time in years-rofl) its April 22,2003. Right after Easter which works great for me cause I will spend Easter will my family and they can help relax me as I am already a bundle of nerves. I told Anne at Dr. Oliphants ofc that I cant make up my mind if I am nervous, scared, excited etc... She assured me that it was perfectly normal. I chose not to tell people at work (except 2 close friends) I am just taking it all in vacation time and telling them I just need a break. My family all knows and dont want to see me go thru the pain and suffering but are very supportive. So much to so and so little time to do it in. I am a wreck and I still have weeks to go! Please give me a shot of valium! :-) Best Wishes to everyone no matter where you are in your journey.

Best wishes on your upcoming surgery. We both wish you all the luck in the world with your recovery too. We BOTH had open rny's in 2001. Mine (Doug, aka: OLD RODEO CLOWN PANTS) was in Oct and I have lost 215 lbs. My sweet wife, Nancy, had her surgery in June and she has lost 110 lbs. We both invite you to read our profiles and hope that maybe you can get some inspiration from them, but NO PROMISES!!!! Just remember that YOU WILL SUCCEED!!!!! BELIEVE IN YOURSELF AND YOU CANNOT FAIL. From: Doug and Nancy, La Mesa, CA!

I AM APPROVED !!!!!!! One the FIRST time around :-) I can’t decide if I am happy or nervous. I am sure most of you can relate. Ann (Dr. Oliphants Nurse) is out of town till Tues of next week so even she doesn’t know yet. I found by calling the insurance company directly. So I imagine I will be getting a call next week to schedule a date and go from there. Kinda funny cause just a couple days ago I was ready and confident and now that I know I am approved, I am getting nervous and scared. I hope someone out there can give me a little advise on how they got thru this point. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated. I have to go tomorrow and see my PCP for the "woman’s annual exam" (we all hate those). This was scheduled several months ago and was advised to keep the appt. I am hoping it will cut down on some of the pre-op stuff. Thanks in advance for all the wonderful support people here have given me so far. God Bless All Of You :-)
