Sarah, Congratulations! 12 pounds! You are doing great girlfriend. Sorry to hear about the loss of your sister, 11 years ago. I also lost a sister, but I know that she watches over me daily. You are doing great and will be struttin your stuff all over the campus in the fall. Woo Hoo! Take care! Hugs!

First, I want to say that today marked 11 years since we lost my sister, Cheryl, to Aplastic Anemia. And I realize that next year on this date I will be graduating with my Masters degree, another positive memory for this time of the year to counteract the many sad ones from the past. Saw Dr. Cook and I had lost 12 lbs, he said I was right where he would want to see me and that I didn't need to come see him again unless I'm having problems with the surgery. Quote, "There is no need for you to drive all the way here just for me to pat you on the head and say good job" But you know sometimes those pats on the head are nice, especially from Dr. Cook ;) (Dr. Cook had never actually patted my head) I was moved up to Stage IV diet and can have salad...had a little at Olive Garden for dinner! On the way home I stopped at Catherines and bought a cute shirt (size 26) on sale. I'm not sure when it will fit...but it will! The sales lady kept trying to sell me full price items...but no way am I going to pay that much for clothes that I won't wear for that long...I even told her I had surgery. Other big WOW moment, other than new undies, the seat belt in my mom's car fit me comfortably with inches to spare!!!

Congratulations on the smaller size, undies are important! LOL I hope to be able to say the same thing one day! :>)

Well here I am 2 months out and although it has not been a very good week for me, I am feeling better. Today I joined fitday.com and was surprised by how many carbs are a part of my diet even though I'm not eating that many starches. And of course I need to work on getting more protein and water. I was told to get 80 ozs. a day...I did that today and have found a good system to do it everyday. I would recommend fitday.com to everyone. I also have the Walk Away the Pounds 2 mile video. For now I only do a mile, but it gets my heart rate up a lot more than if I were walking outside or on a treadmill, the side steps and lifts really add a different element. I see my surgeon and nutritionist on Thursday, so I find out then exactly what I've lost and what new changes I need to make to my food intake.

Be patient with yourself sweetie, you are a new post op and when "pouchie" is irritated, up comes your food. Best wishes for a smashing weight loss.

Sarah - I live with ziploc bags. I have them stuffed into my freezer. I offer food to anyone and everyone who will take it. I cut the recipes in half and it is still too much.

Hi Sarah...great picture! It's fun to put a picture with the posts. And you're doing awesome! Keep up the great work. Just a note: I'm also having a lot of trouble with allergies this year, which is kind of a new thing for me. (bad headaches, itchy eyes, congestion) Hugs, Joy
