First, I want to say that today marked 11 years since we lost my sister, Cheryl, to Aplastic Anemia. And I realize that next year on this date I will be graduating with my Masters degree, another positive memory for this time of the year to counteract the many sad ones from the past.
Saw Dr. Cook and I had lost 12 lbs, he said I was right where he would want to see me and that I didn't need to come see him again unless I'm having problems with the surgery. Quote, "There is no need for you to drive all the way here just for me to pat you on the head and say good job" But you know sometimes those pats on the head are nice, especially from Dr. Cook ;) (Dr. Cook had never actually patted my head) I was moved up to Stage IV diet and can have salad...had a little at Olive Garden for dinner! On the way home I stopped at Catherines and bought a cute shirt (size 26) on sale. I'm not sure when it will fit...but it will! The sales lady kept trying to sell me full price items...but no way am I going to pay that much for clothes that I won't wear for that long...I even told her I had surgery. Other big WOW moment, other than new undies, the seat belt in my mom's car fit me comfortably with inches to spare!!!
