Dear Sarah...you poor lamb! I hate that lymphedema just like you do. I don't have it, no...but I hate that you have to deal with it. You're a kind and lovely person, and I give you a lot of credit for going to school and doing all the things you do despite this problem you deal with 24x7. I hope the docs will find a good treatment soon to rid you of this problem...you deserve it. I like that you don't let it get you down, though! You go, Sarah! Love and hugs, Joy

Sarah, Bummer! I hope you do not have a hernia. But if you do, then you will have an easier time getting approved for the tummy tuck down the road. Hoping Dr. Cook takes good care of you, and you find out it is nothing tomorrow! Take care!

~*~I SAID A PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY~*~ I said a prayer for you today And know God must have heard- I felt the answer in my heart Although He spoke no word I didn't ask for wealth or fame, I knew you wouldn't mind, I asked Him to send treasures Of a far more lasting kind, I asked that He'd be near you At the start of each new day, To grant you health and blessings And friends to share your way. I asked for happiness for you In all things great and small, But it was for His loving care I prayed the most of all.

Sarah, water weighs about 8 lbs per gallon. I am pre-op and take lots of diuretics for fluid retention. Legs, hands, and face swell. The best thing to do is to elevate your legs. Like a recliner or foot stool. Lemon is a natural diuretic so if you can stand it, put some lemon juice in your water. (just like a tsp per 16-20 oz. of water) Also, try to watch your salt intake. hope this helps. You will know because you will be pee-ing a lot more. I have to get up 2-3 times in the night if I sit at my computer too long with my feet on the floor. Good luck. Elizabeth

Sarah, You seem to be doing so well with your protein. You will have to teach me how to get so much in. I was thinking of how different your life will be by next June when you graduate. I wish I would have had your courage when I was in school to make such a difference in my life. I wish I had done something while I was young so that I would not have missed out on so much. I bet you are losing lots of inches...have you been measuring? I'm thinking of you and wish you the best in your journey.
