Hello! I need to lose some weight. I weigh 180 lbs and would like to get down into the 150s. I did great a few years ago losing my regain on Keto, but Keto has stopped working for me and I think it's because of the high fat macros. I was curious for anyone this far out what you may have done to lose your regain (daily calories, macros, etc.). TIA!

I don't have any thoughts but I'm in the same boat. I will be glad to get 20 pounds off. Ideally 30

I am close to 15 years out. The only thing that works for me is counting calories. I eat anything I want but keep my calories to 10 a day per pound I want to maintain. I personally use Weigh****chers and count 1 point as 50 calories. It works for me. I eat 1360 calories per day to maintain 136 pounds.

^^^ agree. If you're really active, you could probably go a little higher, but not that much (unless, of course, you're talking running marathons or spending several hours a day in the gym. Not my cup of tea, but...)

This is great. I am either losing or gaining, there have never been any maintaining. Once I hit the weight I am happy at, I am going to try the 10 calories per pound I want to maintain! Thank you!

There came a point when I decided I was going to eat what I really liked. My surgery still gives me some restriction and I cannot eat very much of anything. I rarely finish anything and have no problem with throwing food away that I cannot finish.

I also have almost zero cravings, because if I want something I put it on my grocery list. By the time I get around to going to the store I usually decide I don't really want it anymore. I weigh myself daily and always aware of exactly what I weigh.

I am nine years out and do the same thing as you. It keeps me accountable and I can eat what I want in moderation.

I am almost 20 years post op, and have the opposite problem I had approximately a 10 lb Regain and have fought to put weight on. But anytime I've had worried Through The Years about I'm going to regain my weight I refer back to my nutritional package my doctor provided and I go back to just pure protein fresh vegetables and make sure I I'm careful about proportional size and how it is prepared we grill and steam a lot we do not eat fried foods both my husband and I are diabetic as well and of course stay as hydrated as possible. I hope that it helps some and I hope that you reach the goal at your happiest with. It's nice to know there's some other people out there though. That are post op As long as I am.

Coming up on 13 years out and my weight took a jump during the Covid year(s) - add to that a broken foot that took 6 months to heal. I became really sedentary and gained. About 6 weeks ago I started using Noom. It was recommended by a friend. I'm down about 12 lbs. so far and have 23 more to go.

I think the actual program is much like weigh****chers but they have a daily psychological tip/short reading that I really enjoy. The cost is very modest as well.

Hi,

I'm 15 yrs out and gained 21 lbs. I started eating more plant based foods, like Boca burgers, Morning Star products, dried beans, and doubled up on veggies. I ate more fish and watched my daily calories. I ate fat free dairy products, like yogurt, coffee creamer, cottage cheese etc. I ate whole wheat bread. I It really wasn't that difficult and the best part was losing 27 lbs. GOOD LUCK
