Duodenal Switch Forum (DS)

Welcome to the Duodenal Switch Forum! This patient forum on ObesityHelp.com is designed to provide you up-to-date information about the biliopancreatic diversion with duodenal switch, also known as the BPD-DS or simply the DS.

On the Duodenal Switch Forum Message Board, you can reach out and share experiences with your peers. You can also help lend advice and emotional support to your pre-op and post-op peers throughout the United States. We also invite bariatric surgeons to provide information to members of this forum.

The duodenal switch forum provides you with direct access to “Open” and “Laparoscopic” duodenal switch surgeons located nearest you. These surgeons follow guidelines established by the American Society for Bariatric Surgery (ASBS) and the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES).

Of special note, you will find a unique Center of Excellence indicator on the professional profile of each surgeon and hospital that has satisfactorily met the standard set forth and did designated by the ASBS/SRC or the ACS/BCOE as a Center of Excellence. This mark links to a page describing the requirements for surgeons and hospitals to maintain their certification.
