My first impression of Dr. Richardson was he was very imformative. He explained all my options. I still feel the same about Dr. Richardson. He (in my eyes) is one of the best surgeons. His staff at Des Peres in St. Louis is wonderful people. Very understanding and helpful. He told me the last time I seen him if I need or feel that I need to come in to just call they will get me in. His staff is always making sure I am ok and doing good. The aftercare program is good they have meeting every month on different stuff. He told me all the risk of all the weight lose surgeries and the good. He helped my husband and I figure out which was the best road for me. Both his surgical competence and bedside manner is excellent.

Dr. Richardson was excellent! He talks you thru every aspect of the surgery and the weight loss journey. He makes sure you are committed to this and promises that it is a team effort. The office staff are very friendly and are always available to help our.rnrnBy aftercare will include visits with the doctor and dietician. I have also been encouraged to attend support group, be phyically active and continue to see a counselor to work through my relationship with food. rnrnMy experience with Dr. Richardson and the MySelfBariatric group has been great. I would recommend him to anyone!

So far the Doc n' his staff have been extremely informative. We are just waiting on insurance to give the green light.

Dr. Richardson and his entire staff have been very helpful and friendly every time I have been there to see him. If you have any questions that is no problem either. They are always willing to help answer any questions I may have. I highly recommend Dr. Richardson or anyone on his staff.

I first met Dr. Richardson at the seminar I went to. I had my first appt. with him after I had gotten insurance approval. He was very nice and informative and told me about the risks of the surgery and the pros for it. I saw him the day of the surgery for a few min. and I will see him again Wed. for my followup visit. His office staff is very nice and will help with anything you need. They keep you updated on insurance problems or whatever they may need to get the approvals.

My surgeon was great... I loved him! He has a sense of humar but is very serious when he needs to be. He assured me that everything was going to be fine.. His staff are very friendly and answer any questions that I had. I would rate him on a scale of 1-10 he is a ten!

I was completely happy with my surgeon. I safe because he is very consevative and double checks everything. Some of the other doctors allowed patients to have ice chips right after surgery, and while I wished I could at the time, I am happy he took all the precautions he could. The post op visits are rushed so make sure you know what you want to ask so you don't panic and forget.

I researched my options for weight loss surgery for a couple of years. I went to three seminars to find out what I could, and that's when I made my final decision. I chose Dr. Richardson because he gave a good presentation about each surgery. I also had researched on the net and found he had done well over 1000 surgeries. He had another physician assist on my surgery, Dr. Folwell. I met him briefly before the surgery. He was also very pleasant. My experience at St. Alexius was also good. It is an old inner city hospital, but I didn't think it was dirty. If you are looking for brand new, I wouldn't go there.rn I have worked in healthcare for years, and one thing that stood out in my mind was the OP testing. After each procedure that I had to have, the person who performed my test walked me to the next department. I appreciated that personal touch. rnSo far, my aftercare has been good. Dr. Richardson is a very busy man, and you can sense that when you see him, but he has always offered to answer any questions that I may have. I appreciate his skills, and that's why I would choose him again. One bad point is The clinic building where I see him. It could use a major renovation, St. Alexius Jefferson Campus Clinic.

Overall, everyone was very caring and interested in how I was and what I needed (besides Dietary-they sent chicken broth the first time and when told to send veggie broth, they sent beef broth). I was in the step down unit immediately after surgery but they encouraged my visitors to stay until I kicked them out. They were thorough in their assessments and made sure, at each shift change that the RN and nursing Tech names were changed on the white boards in each of the rooms. They tried not to disturb me if they did not need to. The rooms were clean and when I used the call bell someone answered right away and got me what I needed. There is new construction going on but I did not hear much of it but friends said the parking was poor.
