Dr. Colella at first seemed very concerned for me,and also understood how afraid i was to have to be operated on again ,he encouraged me to check him out and also get some counseling to relax me enough to feel comfortable to have him operate on me.I found out he was very well thought of and came highly recommended to fix me from my first surgery no one else would do the revision and hernia repair also. rn The office staff is great Debbie calls you back always when she finds out if you have a problem or need a prescription or if you need refered to a diffferent kind of doctor or a pain clinic she helped find me one.Dr. Williams is his fellow.He is wonderful also I think at times I make things hard for them but they are so wonderful at the way they treat you it just makes you know things will be okay.rn Aftercare is very good. For instance the one time I came in and was in so much pain and could not walk melissa (she is the pre -op nurse who does the physicals) seen i was freezing and in pain she got me a blanket and got Dr. Williams right away and had me admitted in about a five minute period . the only bad thing was the wait for my room.I am really happy that this time I have such a caring staff as opposed to my first time around.also my risks for surgery was explained in such great detail that I probably wouldn't of done my original surgery if I would of been this informed .the way i was talked to before and after surgery was like i was a very scared and nervous person who had been traumatized the first time around , but I know now that with Dr. colella and Dr. williams and the rest of the staff I will eventually get better with time .rn I also can't forget about Melissa the pre-op nurse she is a very kind and funny lady who is also a great person.rn Well my overall outlook of Dr.Colella and staff is great I would recomend them to anyone as to some surgeons who has made my life very hard to live. It's not very fair to me or my husband and kids how careless some doctors are and I have not worked in 2 years due to the neglect of some who still carry on like nothings wrong with their life .I say thanks a whole lot to them ,But I can truely say thanks to the wonderful staff and Drs. at Colellas Iknow now I got the right kind of help,and care.

'Dr. Colella was the third surgeon I visited trying to get help with a revision. The other two doctors wouldn't even touch me and told me that I was the failure and that I failed the best weight loss procedure out there. rnAt my first appointment with Dr. Colella he was extremely nice and took time to explain everything as well as ask a lot of questions to get a feel for my problems. He explained that I was not a failure and that my surgery very well could have failed me. He recommended some tests to see what was wrong. I was so happy I finally found a doctor who really cared about me

Dr. Colella is a wonderful surgeon. He is caring and patient and takes the time to listen and explain things. I would recommend him to anyone. Thank You Dr. Colella!!

Dr. Colella came very highly recommended. He will operate on people that other surgeons won't touch. He really impressed me on my first meeting with him in the initial class. My first one on one with him, well, they had a staff shake-up apparently, and they were trying to straighten everything out. My surgery is on May 17th, so I'll update after that as to how it went.

I have only met him once for my consult, but I considered him to be very professional and straight forward. This is what I want in a doctor. I am very high risk due to my PPH and he was very good about explaining the risks and benefits of this surgery for me.

My first impression of Dr. Colella was that he seemed very confident in his ability and bedside manner was very out right and seemed like he was aware of what you would be going through. only seen him in hospital after surgery seen his associate at first meeting and at pre op visit in office i seen another associate both very nice Dr's. his staff is very nice and very well in knowing about wls. has a great after care with groups monthly at hospital. explained all the risks to me of the surgery and his surgical compitance and bedside manner very good one of the best ive seen in my 53 yrs .

Dr Colella is a master at his trade!! I went through my procedure with ease and no pain!! His surgical and office team, has been and continue to be friendly, professional and knowledgeable.

I originally had my surgery with Giselle Hammad I have not had much success and was sent to Dr. Colella, who is very understanding and does not blame me for my weight gain and actually took the time to review my o/p notes to see is an error may have been done initially ie the limb not being the correct size. He listened to me and agreed such things as still needed b12 due to an absorption problem when all the other doctors took me off since I could so called "eat just like a normal person" I hope my insurance approved him for my revision. I did initially consult another surgeon and that request was denied.

I met Dr. Colella December 20th and was so impressed by him. He answered all my questions before I even asked them. He didn't talk at me..he talked with me. The office staff was wonderful as well. My appointment was at 2:30 but I didn't get to see the doc until almost 7:30. He had to see 52 patients by himself as there was a family emergency with the other physician helping him. Even still, he was pleasant and professional...not to mention too good looking! I felt so much more comfortable about the procedure and him performing it as I knew he was well qualified having done over 1600 surgeries.

I met Dr Colella's partner. he was very informative. The staff were very nice and Karen is a doll. Am I the olnly one she helps?!! She always answers my questions and remembers me every time I call!
