Torrance Memorial Medical Center Hospital
I was not overly impressed with how they took care of their patients. Sleeping was excellent and privacy as well, because if you didn't ring, they didn't check on you. I was kind of feeling lost and not knowing what was going on about the 3rd day in and I broke down in front of the nurses while telling them I just felt like nobody was telling me anything. They were kind, but possibly understaffed. I'm not sure, but I really felt like more could have been done. Recovery room was good and operating staff seemed good, what I remembered of them.
I think this is an outstanding hospital with a fantastic staff. I cannot find a single thing to complain about! All of the nurses who take care of my surgeon's patient's get special training from my surgeon's office and other nurses who speficially work with Dr. Klein. They were all so very kind and most of them were extremely thoughtful.
They have special rooms setup for this specific surgery with special beds. I will say that the staff dumped me out of bed on the first night, as they were not expireanced in the operation of the bed. But they also allowed my wife to stay all night with me for the 3 nights that I was right off the table. This was a huge help to me, as she could get little things that would have been a hassle for the nurses.
Now that they know how to use the beds, this is one of the best places to be for Weight loss surgery.
