Suny Upstate Medical Hospital Hospital
my recovery room nurse was an angel. very attentive and nice. i did not get a room for quite awhile so she let my family in the recovery room to see me. she also kept explaining what was going on with the hold up. my nurses on the floor for the most part where excellent. my roomate had the same surgery and at times we had different nurses which made things confusing esp when one would tell me one thing about drinking and hers would tell her something different. our night nurses where awsome.
I loved the staff. They were so caring and such a big help. I was blessed with 2 male nurses that really cared. At first I did not like the idea of a male nurse but it was the best care i have ever had. Even the staff was great. Encourage me while I walked the halls coming in the room to say hi. Everyone saying good bye and good luck when I left. What a warm and caring feeling
The Drs, nurses and staff were all very caring. No one made me feel like they were rushed when I needed assistance or had questions to ask. My Dr was wonderful, checking in on me two or three times a day. The Dr that was his assistant during the surgery and during after care was great. I was very pleased with the whole hospital stay.
Staff did a great job- plus this hospital has top-notch experts for any problem that could possibly occur; made me feel very secure and confident!
Only complaints are: you can never get any real rest because someone's always taking vitals- always more people coming on shift, and repeating what was just done... and the noise! People talking loudly 24 hrs. a day, plus the noisiest equipment imaginable- i.e. the SHRIEKING wheeled laundry cart!! Makes you realize hospitals arwe not for getting well- just getting fixed!
