I thought Dr. Irgau was wonderful..very soft spoken and to the point..i felt very comfortable asking questions and I could tell that he wasnt just giving me short answers to get rid of me like other doctors ive encountered..now that ive had the surgery he is just as nice and tells it how it is..he has a great team and the aftercare is very structured it leaves no room to wonder..he keeps a close eye on you while your newly postop..i rate the dr very high i would use him again and recommend him to anyone...i believe surgical competence and bedside manner both matter and Dr. Irgau has both

DR IRGAU IS A VERY GENTLE AND CARING DOCTOR.
I ONLY HAD TO CALL HIM ONCE SINCE MY SURGERY. HE WAS VERY PROMPT IN CALLING ME BACK. YOU CAN'T ASK FOR A MORE STRUCTURED AFTERCARE AND MAINTENANCE PROGRAM.

I just got the okay from my primary doctor to go through with the surgary. So I'm going to call Dr. Gail Wynn MD. Wish me luck, I'll be back for more details! I'm so excited! I'm back!! My doctors appt. is June 13, 2003. I'm so excited! As soon as I know anything I'll be back.

I met Dr. Wynn. She is soo nice and full of information. She listens to everything you have to say and answers everything you ask her.Once my appts are scheduled I'll go back and see her for the date. I'll check back in.

I was very pleased with Dr. Wynn. She was thorough in explaining the surgery. She also has great bed-side manner. Very polite, very pleasant, very informative. The office staff is also very pleasant handles all insurance matters which is a blessing. Aftercare is critical to the doctor. Without going through PMRI, you cannot get approved for the surgery with Dr. Wynn and Irgau. Dr. Wynn cannot stress enough how important it is to follow up with the aftercare program with PMRI. Dr. Wynn explains thoroughly the surgical procedure, along with the statistical information, any complications that could arise from having this major surgery and what percentage these risks all have. I would rate Dr. Wynn and her staff a 10. I believe surgical competence and bedside manner are both equally important to the patient.

5/20/03 - I met Dr. Wynn today. I liked her a lot. She was very knowledgable about the surgery. She answered all my questions. She requires thorough medical clearance prior to surgery.
Her staff was really nice. Pleasant and kind.
She was upfront about the risks of the surgery, as well as the possible benefits.
I think I've found myself a surgeon Ü

3/18/03 - My new surgeon is Dr. Wynn in Wilmington. I have not had the pleasure of meeting her yet - my consult is 5/20/03. I am really excited about meeting her, as I've heard many good things about her.
I decided to change from Dr. Abboud's office as I did not feel I was getting the careful attention I needed to get me through this surgery. I had a ton of questions his office did not have time to answer.

2/2/03 - After a 2nd visit with Dr. Abboud I decided to look for another surgeon. I didn't feel I was getting the attention I deserved for this delicate procedure. The visits are really rushed, each lasting only 10-15 minutes. I didn't feel I was being given the time to ask question and be comfortable with the doc.
So, effectively immediately I have changed surgeons. My new surgeon is Dr. Gail Wynn in Wilmington, DE. My initial consult with her is 5/20/03.

I met Dr. Gail Wynn for the first time on February 25, 2003 and was very impressed with her. She is very easy to talk to and made me feel at ease. she showed me a diagram of what the surgery would look like and said that I would be an ideal candidate.

I am equally impressed with her office staff and found them very friendly and helpful as well. I have done some research about the bariatric surgeons in De and found that Dr. Wynn's practice has the lowest complication rate.

I first met with Dr. Irgau in August 2002. After my initial consultation, I was given the pre-testing requirements (Cardio, Pulmonary, Nutritionist and Phych). I took me until Jan 2002 to complete all the pre-testing. Within 2 wks I had my surgery date.

Due to complications, I had to have open rny two days after I had lap rny. Dr. Irgau and Dr. Wynn were very accessable to me as well as my family.

I have an open wound two weeks post on in the staple-line. Dr. Irgau and Dr. Wynn, their office staff and nurse have been wonderful. Dr. Irgau even returned a page while in surgery (he had a nurse from the OR relay messages back and forth). I am always able to get follow up apts as well as get prescriptions when needed.

I would highly recommend Dr. Irgau and Dr. Wynn for RNY sugery. They preform the surgery together as a team.

Both have a great calming bedside manner.

I went to Dr. Wynn on March 4th 2003, I really enjoyed meeting with her and her staff..
My surgery if scheduled for June 25, 2003,
All questions she answered in laymans terms so I understood everything. Very friendly, and good sense of humor.
she addressed all areas of the before and after surgery care and explained how at risk I am for being overweight.
I would rate her and the staff a 9 on ascale of 1-10.

I have had all of my appointments to obtain my clearances for surgery. I have met with Dr. Irgau twice now and am very impressed. I did my homework before scheduling any appointments and found Dr. Irgau & Dr. Wynn to be very successful with the surgery. Personally I am very confident and comfortable that they are my surgeons. At my initial consult, Dr. Irgau answered all of mine and my husbands questions. He never rushed us or made us feel like we were just another patient. My surgery date is not scheduled yet, we are hoping for some time in May. I am completely confident that all will go well and that I will no longer be stuck in this body that I can't stand.

I am very happy with Dr. Wynn. She is very personable. The only problem I am having now is that my surgery has been postponed from March 19 to April 28, because Dr. Wynns' daughter was born on March 10. It was quite a let down, but I am coping.Waiting is the worst part.

Her staff is Great! They are all very friendly and quite helpful.

Aftercare is very important. She has a very structured aftercare program.

She was upfront with the risks and she explained things in detail.

I feel very comfortable with her.
