I am very happy with Dr. Kruger and his team. I had my surgery Dec 20th 2006, by Dr. Kruger and his team. They are soo AMAZING. He is such an awesome doctor. I had no pain and little stay in the hospital stay. I came home and I have had no complications. I am so glad I was referred to go to him. I am so grateful to him and the team. I now can being to live like I was ment to. Thank you

In my Honest opinion, Dr. Kruger is a soft spoken, busy man. His presence commands respect, and he has changed the lives of hundreds of people. He is to the point, informative, and answered all of the questions I had for him. His office visits are nice and quick, and his staff is wonderful and supportive.rnThere was really nothing I didn't like about Dr. Kruger. I call him \"Special K\". He is big on aftercare and I had to sign a contract stating that I would be diligent with my aftercare office visits, support group meetings, and vitamins. Dr. Kruger and staff are very thorough.rnI give Special K an A+.rnHe was excellent to me.

My first impression at the information meeting was good- He basically helped me make up my mind to go forward. rnMy impression has changed slightly. I love the program that he runs. It is very involved-I feel like we are covering everything and I have a good support system with dietician, psychologist, support meetings ect but he seems unreachable. rnI had my second appt with him 3 days ago, I came in with a few questions for him. He wrote the whole time(5min tops) I was in the exam room in my chart and said see you early February. I was asking my first question and he was already rounding the corner out of the room while he answered over his shoulder.rnBut everyone I have talked to about this program says it is great and would do it again in a heartbeat.rnThe good news is the program moves along fairly quick so I should be booked for surgery next month.

Dr. Kruger's program was very thorough and informative. It is a minimum of 3 months, including a seminar, several visits with Psychologists, dieticians, himself, his nurses, and a pulminologist. I would highly reccomend him to everyone!!

When I 1st met Dr. K he was very confident in his abilities. Talked alot about his success rate. I had my 1st appt. with him and he was so quick, he came in the room, said a few words, and that was it. I found this to be his nature, very little to say, and short answers to any questions I had. Although, his office staff are absolute angels! They took much more time with me to explain whatever I wanted to know, and them some. As far as the risks from surgery, it was minimized. Always over-shadowed by the bigger risks of being overweight. I would rate Dr. K at a 5 out of 10.rnHe seemed concerned and caring when my complications started, but after a while, he seemed more bothered by me and my family. When I wanted a 2nd opinion on how to get better, his ego took over and he was very upset, which surprised me.

'Dr. Kruger is an excellent surgeon which is really all you want/need for this surgery. He doesn't have much "bedside manner"...not very friendly...very rushed all the time. But at the end of the day - he's an excellent surgeon and that's all I cared about. He has a good program established with lots of other people (nutritionist

I was referred to Dr. Kruger by two nurses that I work with that also had surgery with him. Considering we all deal with doctors in our every day lives it was difficult to attempt to find one without the support or referral from a trusted source. I was very impressed with his professionalism, ability to answer questions yet be a person as well. He has not performed as many surgeries as some of the other doctors, but he has not had any serious complications or deaths in the cases he has done. He only does gastric bypass, does not do the lap band and only does pt's who weigh less than 350 lbs. I feel confident that the team he has put together will adequately prepare me and do all the necessary testing prior to surgery. I live on Cape Cod and am happy that I can go to Tobey Hospital in Wareham and not have to travel back and forth to Boston. His program takes 3-4 months from initial consultation until surgery. He has a separate information session at the hospital that patients and their spouses or families can attend to get additional info.

Met with Dr. Bruce Bodner on 7-19-05 for consult. First impression, very nice with a great personality. I did not need much info. about the surgery, because I am a Registered Nurse, and already very well informed. The only thing that I wanted to know was if he did the surgery lap. and how much weight he would make me loose before hand. He told me that he has not done it lap. yet, but it may be an option. He also wanted me to loose 10% of my body weight, which I told him if I could loose 30 lbs, then I would not need surgery. He then cut it to half for me, only because I have a smaller upper body and "good anatomy". Overall, Dr. Bodner is great, with an awsome bed side mannor and I would rate him very highly. I then had a consult on 7-22-05 with Dr. Ray Kruger. First impression, very serious professional doc. But, overall very nice. Dr. Kruger only does the surgery lap. and one can participate in his program if 350lbs or under. He explained how I would have to meet with his nutritionist in order to help try to loose weight before surgery. Dr. Kruger has a very thourough program made up of a team of several professionals who all want you to be successful. I would also rate Dr. Kruger very high. After meeting with both, I decided to go with Dr. Kruger. Although, both surgeons are great, it is a personal choice that only you can make. The only down side is that you have to pay some out of pocket costs. $400.00 for two mandatory psych evals and $150.00 for three week mandatory psych groups. Luckily only co-pays for nutritionist and hospital stay. But, I know it will all be worth it in the long run. I was able to get nutritionist appt. and psych evals all in August. Hopefully, if all goes well I can have the surgery sometime in Oct. or Nov.

My first impression was that he was all business and he had a high degree of professionalism. I learned by other patients and my office visits that he is very dedicated and will do anythinkg it takes to help you to succeed. His office staff seem knowledgeable and work hard to get thinkgs done timely but can get flusted just like the rest of the world when things are busy. I like Dr. Kruger for his matter of fact ways and his dedication to his patients. He is very willing to help and listen and willing to work with the patients family also. He was frank about surgery risks, not candy coating anything and not overplaying it eather. Overall he is someone I wold gie a very high to excellent rating to. for both his skill as a surgen and and bedside.

I had my first meeting with him the first week of December. I found him to be very receptive to my questions and very understanding. I know many people that have had surgeries with him and have had great things to say about him. I see him again in a week and a half. His team approach (psych & nutritionist) shows his dedication to supporting his patients.
