On my first office visit to see Dr. Reyes I was very nervous. When I spoke to Dr. Reyes he asked me what type of surgery I wanted. I felt this was important because he was not being pushy about what type of surgery I should get.rnHe let me deceided and then explained the surgery to me. His office staff was very friendly and know what they are doing. Future Patients should know that Dr. Reyes is a great Doctor and he will take good care of you. Dr. Reyes explained to me and my husband about the aftercare and what I needed to do and if I had any problems for me just to call him anytime. I would strongly recommend him for patients that are considering surgery whether it be gastric bypass or lapband. I felt safe with him and his staff. This surgical competence and bedside manner were both great. Thank You Dr. Reyes I know by having my surgery my life will change for the better.

I had lap band surgery on March 10, 2008. I was very impressed with the surgery. It did not hurt at all. Dr. Reyes and Dr. Camacho are excellent surgeons. I recommend them to everyone. My starting weight was 332 on the day of surgery and now three months later I have lost 32 pounds. Today is June 10,2008 and got my first fill. Dr. Reyes was so patient and I did not even fell the needle when he did the fill.

I am a nurse aide in a hospital. I do alot of walking back and forth. When I look back on the day I decided to make an appointment with Dr. Luis Reyes it was a wake up call. There was an emergency in one of the floors and we could not use the elevators so I had to walk 5 floors when I finally got to the floor I thought I was going to faint. When I went to my first appointment and everytime i have gone to Dr. Luis Reyes office the staff is professional and kind and he is life saver. I feel awesome. It has been 6 months and I have almost lost 80 lbs. I only wish I would of done this sooner, now walking back and forth at the hospital is a breeze and the stairs no problem. I have even had situations where my car breaks down and I walk home and that is 3 miles. If you are considering gastric by pass I strongly suggest you choosing Dr. Luis Reyes not only for his experience but he makes you feel great about yourself.

I met Dr. Reyes when he did my mom's surgery 3 years prior to mine, so I already had an idea of what he was like. I had a great experience with Dr. Reyes and his staff. He was very sensitive to my questions, as ridiculous as I thought some of them were. I was on the fence on whether I wanted a lap band or a bypass and he armed me with all the information I needed for me to make the best personal decision without trying to convince me one way or the other. The office staff is wonderful and very helpful and informative. rnOne thing I would say is negative is the wait. The office is always full and there is a long wait, but well worth it in the end. rnThe aftercare was very structured and was very well lined out in the office visits and paperwork given to you. Although I had everything I needed on paper, it would be nice to talk to someone once you change stages of food. I know I had alot of questions when going from pureed foods to soft foods and relied heavily on my mom. An appointment with the nutritionist would have been helpful.rnDr. Reyes' reputation is impeccable and his bedside manner is great. Very good doctor. I have already recommended him to two of my friends!

Dr. Reyes and his partner Dr. Camacho are very nice. They were concerned over every detail which might cause any problem. They took very good care of me . Their staff were very professional. My first impression was as good as my last of him. Dr. Reyes has great bedside manner. He encouraged me to ask questions. The Bariatric surgery coordinator, Paula is terriffic. She visited me several times and has called me since I came home. She has many helpful suggestions. The nurses, Maris, and Becky and the PCA's were friendly and very thorough. I had some anemia after the surgery and the whole team monitored me very carefully to make sure that i wasnt losing blood from somewhere. Dr. Reyes ordered two units of blood for me because he knew that it would be hard to \"catch up\" with the malabsorption after surgery. all in all, in my personal opinion, i give drs reyes and camacho and their team an A +.rn The only negative was the length of wait time at the office. This wouldnt be a problem except for the fact that I cant drive and had to have someone drive me to appointments

My experience with Dr Reyes was completely positive, he listened to all my concerns and acted on them immediately. His bedside manner was excellent. My pain level to the surgical sites were minimal to none.And Irnwas allowed to be part of the decision making about my pain management which was important. My incisions are neat, with no bruising.

Dr. Reyes is kind compasionate and carring. But if you think this is just a quick fix all stay a way. he is serious and wants you to be sucessful. So if you are not willing to change the old you, ie no more soda, candy bars ect.. do not bother this surgery is not for you. He is not perfect but I still give him an A++ for the care he gave me and my wife and i have watched many do this surgery.

Dr Reyes performed my lap band surgery in July 2007. He and all his staff are competent and helpful. The risks of surgery were clearly explained. I am 71 yr old, probably one of his oldest patients.rnrnI see him for regular follow up, but have not yet needed any fills. My progress has been problem free. rnrnIf I had it to do over, I would select the very same surgeon again.rn

Three weeks post op and down 35 lbs. I feel awesome and have started to excercise. my energy level has increased and look forward to exercise at the end of my work shift. Dr. reyes was great. Very polite, very straight forward about complications. His staff very friendly. He is very busy and an appointment usually runs into a 2 to 3 hour wait from the time your appointment was scheduled. Overall he is wonderful.
