Every staff member I encountered was responsive and helpful.

The weight loss surgery program at Shawnee Mission Medical Center is amazing. The support from all involved was incredible. I only have positive things to say about the place. I was not in a private room and so I had a roommate that was not very kind and was the only negative I had about my stay. I would and have recommended this hospital over and over again!

Shawnee Mission Medical Center exhibited the highest standards of professionalism in healthcare bar none! The nurses, dietician, physical therapist, and the chaplains all made me feel loved and cared for and valued as both a patient and human being. I have never had a better hospital experience since the birth of my 2 children!!!!!! Excellent hospital!!!!

The hospital was fine. The only concern I had was when I needed help from the nurses, I would push the help button, and someone from another office would answer and have to page the nurse. If I had an emergency, it would have wasted unnecessary time. Also there was a lack of communication with the cardiac department, so almost had to stay another night in the hospital (until I threw a fit).

It was just a horrible expierence. Not enough staff, assignments to patients didn't make sense. My room was at the intersection of the hall with the elevators and visiting room accrss the hall, my door was left open all the time...too much to write, it was just bad, bad, bad!!!

I was very impressed. The nursing staff was extraordinary. Very friendly and efficient. The facility was spotless and everyone was more than happy to help you.

I used this hospital when I had my endometrial ablation, for mammograms and the bypass surgery.

The rooms were so small, it made it difficult to navigate around the beds while dragging an IV pole. In fact, you had to put the IV pole in front or behind you because it would get lodged when hitting the TV that protruded from the wall. Also, the beds were horribly uncomfortable and the room was dirty. At one point a cleaning woman came in with a dirty mop and drug it around both beds and left the room... I guess that was her act of mopping.

Strong bariatric commitment...I have felt nothing but positive vibes here.

I was very pleased with the care I received. I felt like the nursing staff was very prompt and thorough.
