Wow!! Had my first consult with my surgeon yesterday. I liked him, he addressed me by my first name and did not pull punches told me what he thought was best for me and stated that he could help me. That was all I wanted to know. Julie the office nutrionist and coordinator did the rest and she was sooo nice. even when I called her today for a question I should have asked yesterday. If first impressions matter then they are already aces.rnPart II Well still holding on with Good fellings towards Dr Quilici group. Have not seen him again but have dealt with Julie and Maureen the nutrionist and the coordinator. My impatience got the better of me but these two ladies did their jobs well. They have kept me up on things and made sure I am fully enformed of what is going on and what will go on if this keeps up they will get a full thumbs up.
He is caring and considerate. but he doesn't mess around. he tells you like it is and expects you to put in the effort to succeed. he says I will give you the tool but you have to use it.rnrnthe staff is concerned and caringrnrnafter care is critical. It is stressed and they give several ideas and all of the info to do it right.rnrnthe risks were presented to me in plain language I understood both those and the benefits.rnrnI rate Dr Quilici and his staff as outstanding and would recommend him to anyone who is serious.rnrnboth are great.
Dr. Q was friendly and helpful in the beginning. He is an excellent surgeon but his \"bedside manner\" is lacking. Of course we are not choosing a surgeon for his bedside manner. The staff is busy, but helpful. However, getting a return call was difficult if not impossible. Dr. Q emphasizes exercise before and after. He expects you to make the committment to excercise 5 days a weeks to reach and maintain your goal. One thing though, he never gave me a goal weight and on my very first follow up ( after staples were removed) he told me how great I looked and when he saw how much weight I had lost he then told me I was 40 pounds behind schedule and could fail the surgery. I was devastated!!!! I did not see him again but did continue care with Dr. Tovar and he was outstanding and supportive. Overall the experience was wonderful with the exception of the one visit mentioned.
I really liked Dr. Quilici, he was very nice and professional. He answered all my questions and then answered some I forgot to ask. The office staff was great. Julie the Bariatric coordinator was so nice and wonderful. She walked me through everything day to day. The aftercare program was all spelled out and easily understood. I would give Dr. Q and his staff a 10 out of 10. I had no problems with surgery, and everything turned out wonderful. I am completely ready to start my journey.
