The hospital and its grounds are clean and well maintained. All the staff I encountered were professional and courteous and all very helpful. I felt welcomed and never felt embarassed for my size.

Portsmouth Hospital was fine for a short stay procedure, I do not have any experience with them in regards to longer term care. I found it to be adequate. Nothing Fancy, just the basics.

I first met Dr.Gens at the informational seminar in Derry NH, and he was the one I initially asked my questions regarding WLS and pregnancy to. He was informative and straightforward, and has always seemed to have my personal goals in mind when we meet. The team at Portsmouth hospital was wonderful to work with, caring and helpful and readily available. The one thing I felt that was missing from my pre-op experience was having people that had already gone through the surgery be a part of the team. At the monthy meetings there were plenty of post-surgery people, but I always felt like it was a quick talk and that was it. I wanted to really be able to pick someone's brain who had gone through what I was preparing for, and I think that a post-surgery patient should be part of the \"team\" of people you meet with.

Dr. Paciulli is wonderful. I would highly recommend her. She takes time to listen and answer your question. She did a wonderful job with the surgery and my incisions are healing nicely.rnShe takes time with you in post op appointments as well.

I did have a problem with the technician for my leak test. I also had problems with two of my night nurses that were totally rude and obnoxious. The rest of the nursing staff was great.

Dr. Looser is great. He is very thorough and professional. Very willing to answer any questions that I have had. I felt very safe going into surgery in his very capable hands. Post op he has continued to be very caring & concerned. I highly recommend him and his associates at Atlantic Surgical Associates.

Everyone I came into contact with (with the exception of one aide who pushed me back from a test) was compassionate, professional, helpful and friendly. They made me at ease and answered all our questions.

My first impression of Dr Gens was wonderful. He had done surgery on my Mother & everything had been fine. The office staff was very nice & helpful...never any problems. I really do not have anything bad that I can say about Dr Gens. He was always very nice and truthful. I was very well informed of all risks and of what to expect during & after the surgery. The whole team that works with Dr. Gens is wonderful & they are all very involved with all the patients. I would highly suggest them to anyone who is looking to have surgery. The follow up care & concern is very, very nice. There are two montly meetings that are held. In the pre. op. meeting most of the doctors are the to help & answer questions...it is very nice.

Unfortunately I was there during construction, and I feel that there were many fustrations between the work that was going on and ( nurses) their attitude of adjustment during that time. unfortunately I believe I got the brunt of it.

Dr. Looser is very professional. I thought he was great. He wasn't very warm at least that's what I thought. I only had a couple of meetings with him before my surgery. In the hospital he was great and has been ever since. I had no complications and he said he wished all his patients were as easy as me.rnHe is a surgeon and a professional with one thing on his mind - taking care of me. I would recommend him and his practice Atlantic Surgical Associates in Portsmouth to everyone.rnDr. Genz and Dr. Petulli in his office are also great ~ they make a great team. The pre-op procedures of getting you to the big date, the program is wonderful with Nancy Seasman as the coordinator. I would rate the Portsmouth Regional Hospital and the Bariatric Program there A+ for people who live in the Seacoast of NH and Southern Maine. No need to go to the big city hospitals.rnI am on a roughly a 6 month followup basis now. He is thorough and truly a pleasure to see.
