excellent before, during and after surgery. Makes sure you know and uphold your responsibilities for pre-op weight loss and testing. He is incredibly supportive and available anytime if you have a problem or question. His office staff can be a little cranky and short, but they are busy.

Let's see mt first impression.... I found him polite and inquisitive. He asked me many questions, I guess trying to get a good history on me. He wanted to know about my homelife and support system. I later found him to be competent, very knowledgable, not excitable, it's all business. I would say his reaction to my eating whole peanuts on stage 3, was proof he knew he was dealing with a person. The education and aftercare are amazing, there are hardly any questions I have, I know what I have to do I guess that is what I would want others to know, pay attention to the whole team and the surgeon because this isn't a quick fix and they/he want you to succeedrn

I first met Dr. Looser at a bariatric seminar. He was very soft spoken and seemed shy. Then when I met with him before my surgery, we were joking around about tatoos. On the day of my surgery I felt very comfortable going under the knife with him and Dr. Gens assisting.rnrnI was not one of the lucky ones that the surgery was a breeze. Two days after the initial surgery, I was operated on for a blockage. Dr. Looser was very patient with my husband and I in explaining what was happening and what the surgery entailed. rnrnMy story does not end here. I spent 6 weeks in and out of the hospital and ended up with 5 surgeries. During the whole time, Dr. Looser and his staff was awesome. They listened to my aches and pains and even called in a specialist when it was needed. I am finally on the mend and give all the credit to Dr. Looser and his staff.

The staff of the bariatric program is very good and supportive of the patients it sees. Some of the emergency room doctor's lack any compassion or support towards overweight people though. I have seen both sides of this hospital staff.

Dr. Gens is not only a talented and skilled professional, he is also a down-to-earth and friendly man. He could easily have a big ego about himself with all that he's accomplished, but he doesn't. He is very caring and informative, never beating around the bush about anything and always willing to go the extra mile for your well-being! His Post-Op care & programs are key to success after surgery, which he emphasizes and takes a roll in.rnDr. Gens is a spectacular surgeon, caring professional and a genuine person overall. Dr. Gens has changed my life for the better and I just cannot thank him enough!

Dr. Gens is the best. I had an instant like and respect for him. He was very informative, but down to earth. We talked about our grandchildren, and our children. I feel extremely comfortable with him. My surgery is scheduled for August 15, so I can tell you more after that point.

The staff was great and they answered my wife and family's questions as well as my own.
